As a Senior Associate in our Private Clients team, you'll play a critical role in providing high-quality external audit services, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and enhancing financial reporting across a wide spectrum of industries, from small, fast-growing companies to large entities.

What you’ll do: 

  • Assist in planning and executing external audits of financial statements in compliance with regulatory and professional standards. 

  • Conduct substantive testing and detailed audit procedures to identify risks and ensure accuracy. 

  • Evaluate internal controls and financial processes to support audit objectives. 

  • Prepare clear and concise audit documentation, reports, and findings for clients and senior team members. 

  • Identify and communicate audit issues, collaborating with clients to resolve financial reporting challenges. 

  • Engage in continuous improvement activities to enhance audit efficiency and quality. 

What we’re looking for: 

Core skills: 

  • Audit Expertise: Minimum 3 years of experience in external audit; ideally, one year as a Senior Auditor or equivalent with exposure to private clients, owner-managed businesses. 

  • Bachelor's degree in commerce or finance, with progress toward or completion of a recognised CA qualification. 

  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse financial information, identify risks, and apply professional judgement to audit processes 

  • Teamwork and Development: Strong collaboration skills with a willingness to learn from and support senior colleagues 

  • Communication Skills: Ability to prepare audit findings clearly and communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders 

  • Industry Awareness and Regulatory Understanding: Foundational knowledge of auditing standards, financial reporting frameworks, and regulatory requirements, with a commitment to ongoing learning
