  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Transport Planning & Coordination:
    • Plan and schedule transportation activities for inbound and outbound shipments.
    • Optimize routes and vehicle utilization to reduce costs and improve delivery timelines.
  • Fleet Management:
    • Monitor and maintain company vehicles, ensuring compliance with safety and maintenance standards.
    • Coordinate with vendors for vehicle leasing, repairs, and insurance renewals.
  • Vendor & Driver Management:
    • Liaise with transport vendors and negotiate contracts for cost efficiency.
    • Supervise drivers, ensure adherence to company policies, and manage performance.
  • Compliance & Documentation:
    • Ensure compliance with transport regulations, permits, and statutory requirements.
    • Maintain accurate records of trips, fuel consumption, and expenses.

  • Cost Control & Reporting:
    • Track transportation costs and prepare periodic reports for management review.
    • Identify areas for cost reduction and implement process improvements.
  • Safety & Risk Management:
    • Implement safety protocols for drivers and vehicles.
    • Handle emergency situations and ensure quick resolution of transport-related issues.
  • Key Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of transportation and logistics operations.

Excellent planning, coordination, and negotiation skills.

Familiarity with GPS tracking systems and transport management software.

Ability to handle pressure and resolve operational challenges quickly.

Good communication and leadership skills.

  • Qualifications & Experience:
  • Graduate in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in transport/logistics operations, with at least 2 years in a senior role.

Knowledge of local and national transport regulations.
