As an Engineer II, you will be responsible for driving process excellence, yield improvement, and manufacturing stability within a high-volume semiconductor production environment. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize manufacturing processes, solve complex production challenges, and support continuous improvement initiatives across the production line.


What will you work on?

  • Own and optimize critical semiconductor manufacturing processes to ensure world-class quality, yield, and productivity.

  • Drive defect reduction, yield improvement, and cost optimization projects through data-driven problem-solving methodologies.

  • Support new product introductions, process qualifications, equipment qualifications, and manufacturing ramp activities.

  • Develop and sustain robust process controls to ensure stable production performance.

  • Lead investigations into manufacturing issues and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.


Scope of Responsibilities

Daily Tasks

  • Monitor process performance, yield metrics, and quality indicators.

  • Analyze process and production data to identify trends, abnormalities, and improvement opportunities.

  • Troubleshoot process deviations and coordinate containment actions when required.

  • Review equipment performance and collaborate with maintenance and equipment teams to improve uptime and reliability.

  • Provide technical guidance to technicians and production operators.
     

Project Assignments

  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on yield enhancement, scrap reduction, cycle time improvement, and cost savings.

  • Execute process optimization projects using statistical tools and structured problem-solving techniques.

  • Support process transfer, qualification, and validation activities.

  • Participate in automation and digitalization initiatives to improve operational efficiency.

  • Maintaining high process stability in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

  • Managing multiple priorities across production, quality, and engineering requirements.

  • Delivering sustainable yield improvements while meeting production targets.

  • Resolving complex process and quality issues under tight timelines.

This is you

Must Have

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical/Electronics, Materials, or equivalent)
  • 2 to 5 years of manufacturing or semiconductor engineering experience
     

Hard Skills

  • Process engineering and problem-solving
  • Root cause analysis (5-Why, Fishbone, FMEA)
  • Data analysis and SPC
  • Yield and quality improvement
     

Soft Skills

  • Analytical thinking
  • Team collaboration
  • Effective communication
     

Nice to Have

Hard Skills

  • Semiconductor assembly or power module experience
  • DOE, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma
  • Knowledge of IATF 16949 and AIAG-VDA FMEA
     

Soft Skills

  • Project leadership
  • Continuous improvement mindset
