About the Role
Whizz is looking for an experienced E-Bike Mechanic Trainer with strong hands-on knowledge of e-bikes who can support mechanics across our locations.
This is not a management position. The main responsibility is to be Whizz’s go-to technical expert for e-bike repairs, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and mechanic training.
You will work directly with mechanics, answer technical questions by phone and messages, help troubleshoot difficult repairs, and travel to Whizz locations when hands-on support or training is needed.
Responsibilities:
· Train new and existing mechanics on e-bike repair, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and Whizz repair standards.
· Provide technical support to mechanics by phone, chat, video, and in person.
· Diagnose difficult or unusual mechanical and electrical e-bike issues.
· Travel between Whizz locations in New York and New Jersey when technical support is needed.
· Occasionally travel to Philadelphia, Washington DC, Chicago, and other current or future Whizz markets.
· Perform hands-on repairs and demonstrate proper repair procedures.
· Help mechanics improve repair quality, speed, and troubleshooting skills.
· Support the rollout of new e-bike models, components, repair procedures, and tools.
· Identify recurring technical problems and help create simple repair instructions and training materials.
· Ensure mechanics follow proper repair and safety standards.
