  • Job Title: Digital Merchandiser
  • Job Summary: The Digital Merchandiser is responsible for translating category and business strategies into a compelling, customer-focused digital experience that drives discovery, engagement, and sales. They own the on-site merchandising and performance of their categories, using customer and business insights to optimize navigation, content, product placement, and storytelling. They also collaborate cross-functionally to ensure their categories are represented effectively across key site experiences and aligned to broader business priorities.

What you’ll do

  • Site Merchandising
    • Owns on‑site category presentation, ensuring products are accurately categorized, prioritized, and visually compelling.
    • Manages product setup and enrichment, including attributes, categorization, and launch readiness.
    • Maintains and updates site content across all placements to ensure relevance, accuracy, and alignment with brand standards.
    • Builds and executes seasonal, promotional, and brand storytelling moments across the site.
    • Contributes to digital merchandising strategy & execution for Automated Retail
  • Product Presentation
    • Ensures product detail pages (PDPs) are complete and optimized, including imagery, copy, attributes, and SEO elements.
    • Partners with content production teams to communicate photography needs and content goals.
    • Requests, builds, and implements content that supports category strategy and drives conversion.
  • Analytics & Performance
    • Analyzes category, product, and content performance using web analytics tools.
    • Uses data‑backed insights to drive decision‑making,
    • Reports weekly on KPIs, trends, and opportunities to cross‑functional partners.
    • Develops and evaluates testing ideas in partnership with digital optimization teams.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration
    • Works closely with Category Management, Planning, Marketing, and Content Production to align on category strategy and execution.
    • Communicates performance insights clearly to educate partners and influence strategy.
    • Collaborates with Digital Optimization and Tech teams to improve site experience and discoverability.
    • Leads seasonal and unique product campaigns on behalf of the Digital Merchandising team, working closely with partnering teams.
    • Foster team growth through active collaboration, mentorship, and knowledge‑sharing, maintaining a confident presence and perspective that elevates the team’s standards and motivates excellence.
  • Optimization & Continuous Improvement
    • Stays current on SEO best practices and applies them to product and category pages.
    • Continuously deepen expertise in UX/UI, digital merchandising, and digital optimization by actively monitoring industry trends, tools, and innovations that enhance customer experience and business performance
    • Identifies opportunities to improve navigation, filters, and search relevance.
    • Continuously tests and iterates on content, layouts, and merchandising strategies to improve conversion and engagement.
    • Monitors ecommerce landscape to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Operational Excellence
    • Ensures accuracy and consistency of product data across systems and site placements.
    • Manages timelines and workflows for product launches, content updates, and seasonal refreshes.
    • Maintains strong attention to detail to ensure a seamless customer experience.
    • Serve as a role model for deadline discipline and customer‑first execution, maintaining exceptional attention to every detail of the site experience and consistently upholding rigorous quality assurance standards.

What you’ll bring

  • Five (5) to seven (7) years of relevant ecommerce experience or a demonstrated equivalent level of expertise.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or a demonstrated equivalent level of applicable experience.
  • Experience with content management.
  • Knowledge of creative software programs for digital content building.
  • Knowledge of HTML and web publishing.
  • Knowledge of SEO and web traffic metrics.
  • Excellent verbal and writing skills in English.
  • Good organizational and proactive time-management skills; comfortable working independently.
  • Passionate about educating the customer as well as the consumer.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

 

Base Salary Range: For this role, new hires generally start between $85,000.00 - $113,000.00 per year. The full range is $85,000.00 - $153,000.00 per year. This range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. The final base salary is directly related to the candidate’s qualifications and professional experience uniquely.
