DG BOSS: Material Control Specialist (FN)

  • Manually issues supplies, materials and equipment, pre picks stock items from multi-level racking which are specified in Work Order documents, in advance of issuance to crew mechanics.  
  • Completes all necessary paperwork for stock items issued, and forward to his immediate Supervisor.  
  • Receives delivered supplies, materials and equipment; confirms that delivered goods match the purchase order specifications of quantity, condition, model number, etc.  
  • Completes all necessary paper work for stock items received, and forwards to his Supervisor.  
  • Utilizes mainframe computer terminal to properly account for issues, returns, receipts of new materials and associated back orders; inputs essential data on all materials handled; adheres to strict accounting procedures in this regard.  
  • Conducts weekly cycle counts of inventory materials based upon computer-monitored suggested re-order listing.  
  • Organizes and maintains warehouse and inventory yard areas for efficient material storage and handling; maintains labeling system on each stock item; manually stocks inventory shelving with stock items received or returned.  
  • Maintains records and coordinates the periodic safety inspection and testing of specialized utility equipment.  
  • Responsible in providing technical services required for the identification, substitution, interchangeability, screening and quality control of supply materials.  
  • Performs supply technical research to process requirements in support of supply customers, prepares technical specifications and quality control processes for procurement; inspects, screens identifies and classifies unidentified materials to determine equipment component and material repairable, research technical supply catalogs, blueprints and industrial manuals and or other technical data required to identify and classify supply items and materials.  
  • Assist customers to research items in the supply technical library consisting of GSA and commercial vendor catalogs, technical microfiche, manufacturer’s parts list, and all other supply publications required to support the supply users. Provide technical information service to the users such as answering questions regarding catalogs, stock number, material classification and supply procedures.  
  • May perform routine storekeeper functions.  
  • Considerable knowledge in hazards and safety precautions relating to equipment operation, loading and unloading of materials. 
  • Has the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and vendors. 
  • Perform inventory of Transportation Department supplies & vehicle parts.  
  • Assist in the random physical inventory of all materials carried under Transportation Department as required by KBR-DG management. 
  • Perform other related duties as maybe assigned by immediate Supervisor. 

Basic Qualifications

  • Must speak, read and understand English language.  
  • Must pass overseas medical screening and be in good health. 
  • Must be computer literate and knowledge on most common and current Microsoft office soft wares, and the Navy Maximo program. 
  • Must be able to identify and interpret vehicles and equipment codes. 
  • Must be familiar with the use of FEDLOG compact disc for research. 
  • Must have a country valid driver’s license Pro with RC 2,3

  • At least high school graduate or its equivalent in this technical field. 

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum two (2 ) years experienced in the field of technical parts processing in Navy supply system.
