About the Role

We are seeking a Technical Team Lead to own the technical direction and delivery of our Client CI/CD platform. The platform enables customers to build, validate, and deploy CRIMS customizations to their dedicated SaaS-hosted environments.

You will combine hands-on engineering with technical leadership, guiding a small development team while collaborating with clients, product owners, security teams, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and continuous improvement of CI/CD pipelines and platform capabilities.

  • Define scalable, reliable, and secure automation for building and deploying client customizations.

  • Develop infrastructure and deployment automation using Azure DevOps, Terraform and Ansible.

  • Use LLM-based tools for automating reviewing proposed changes, identifying potential risks, and troubleshooting issues.

  • Establish and maintain DevSecOps practices, including static and dynamic security testing, dependency and vulnerability scanning, CVE remediation workflows, penetration testing coordination, and secure release processes.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues involving pipelines, infrastructure, deployments, and customer environments.

  • Lead technical estimation, prioritization, architecture decisions, and delivery planning.

  • Work directly with clients and stakeholders to refine requirements and define practical solutions.

  • Lead and mentor a small development team.

  • Create and maintain clear technical documentation, architecture documentation, operational procedures, and support runbooks.

  • Improve platform reliability, security, observability, performance, and developer experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience leading or coordinating a software engineering or DevOps team.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in a DevOps engineering or platform role.

  • Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, TeamCity, CircleCI, or other major CI/CD systems.

  • Practical experience with Terraform, Ansible, and Docker.

  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience with Python, Java, and SQL.

  • Proficiency using GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or other agentic development tools and harnesses to improve engineering efficiency.

  • Understanding of secure DevSecOps principles, SDLC practices, vulnerability management, CVE workflows, penetration testing, and security scanning.

  • Experience troubleshooting production systems and resolving complex technical issues.

  • Experience with a major public cloud provider; Azure experience is preferred.

  • Strong communication, documentation, analytical, and stakeholder-management skills.

  • Ability to translate client requirements into technical designs, estimates, and prioritized delivery plans.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Liquibase and database change-management practices.

  • Experience with .NET and C#.

  • Experience building platforms for SaaS products or dedicated customer environments.

  • Familiarity with cloud networking, identity and access management, monitoring, and secrets management.

  • Experience implementing automated compliance, security gates, and release controls in CI/CD pipelines.

  • Relevant Azure, DevOps, cloud, or security certifications.
