Summary:
This role is seeking an experienced Electrical Harness Connector Engineer/Librarian to manage, catalog and maintain the electrical connector library. This role is critical to ensuring accurate, validated, and standardized connector data is available to design teams working in Siemens Capital Harness and 3DX Catia.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and catalog electrical harness connectors and interfaces within Siemens Capital Harness Tool and 3DX CATIA, ensuring data accuracy and consistency across platforms
- Own the cataloging and validation of the full connector portfolio, including low voltage, high voltage, and high-speed interfaces (Ethernet, Coax, GMSL, GMSL2/GMNET, FAKRA, etc)
- Evaluate and validate the electrical and mechanical parameters of connectors (pin-out, current/voltage rating, signal integrity, mating cycles, sealing, keying, etc.) to confirm suitability for use in downstream EE and mechanical designs
- Partner with EE design, harness design, mechanical, and supplier quality teams to establish, drive, and continuously improve best practices and processes for connector library management in Capital and CATIA 3DX
- Serve as the subject matter expert and point of contact for connector library questions, ensuring design teams have reliable, up-to-date component data
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Siemens Capital Tool Suite (Capital Logic, Capital Component Manager, and/or related modules) and 3DX CATIA
- Demonstrated experience developing or improving library management processes and best practices in a component/data management environment
- Strong attention to detail and data governance discipline
- Effective cross-functional communicator, comfortable working with EE, mechanical, and supplier teams
