Meet the team:

The Manufacturing Analytics team partners with Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, R&D, and Operations teams to transform data into actionable insights that drive process improvements, operational efficiency, and informed business decisions. The team leverages data science, statistical analysis, cloud technologies, and visualization tools to support critical manufacturing and business initiatives across the organization.

Where you come in:

  • You will analyze manufacturing, process, quality, and operational data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and performance improvement recommendations.
  • You will use Python, SQL, and cloud-based data platforms to extract, transform, analyze, and visualize large datasets.
  • You will develop statistical, predictive, and analytical models to support manufacturing process understanding and operational decision-making.
  • You will create Tableau dashboards and reports that communicate key metrics, analytical findings, and business insights to stakeholders.
  • You will perform exploratory data analysis, data mining, and root cause investigations to support process optimization initiatives.
  • You will gather business requirements and translate business challenges into analytical questions, data requirements, and actionable solutions.
  • You will write and optimize SQL queries, including joins, aggregations, and data modeling activities within BigQuery and other cloud platforms.
  • You will support data preparation and ETL activities using tools such as Dataflow, Apache Beam, dbt, or similar technologies.
  • You will document analytical methods, assumptions, data sources, and outputs to ensure transparency and repeatability.
  • You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Data Engineering, and Business Intelligence partners.
  • You will support Agile project execution by managing assigned work through Jira and participating in project planning activities.
  • You will expand your manufacturing domain expertise through cross-functional learning and continuous development opportunities.

What makes you successful:

  • You have a Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Operations Research, or a related technical discipline.
  • You have 2-5 years of experience in data science, analytics, business intelligence, or a related field, or a Master's degree with 0-2 years of related experience.
  • You have hands-on experience using Python for data analysis, data preparation, visualization, and analytical modeling.
  • You have strong SQL skills, including experience with joins, aggregations, filtering, and data modeling concepts.
  • You have experience working with manufacturing, operations, engineering, quality, supply chain, or other operational datasets.
  • You have experience building dashboards and visualizations using Tableau or similar business intelligence tools.
  • You have a strong understanding of descriptive statistics, trend analysis, data distributions, and analytical problem-solving techniques.
  • You have experience working with cloud-based data platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and BigQuery.
  • You have the ability to gather business requirements and translate stakeholder needs into practical analytical solutions.
  • You have strong communication skills and can effectively present insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • You have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • You have experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven business outcomes.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience analyzing manufacturing process, equipment, quality, or operational performance data.
  • Familiarity with CRISP-DM, Agile methodologies, Jira, or similar project management frameworks.
  • Experience with ETL and data engineering tools such as Google Cloud Dataflow, Apache Beam, or dbt.
  • Knowledge of Google Cloud Storage and other GCP services.
  • Exposure to machine learning, predictive analytics, data mining, or mathematical modeling techniques.
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, continuous improvement, or manufacturing problem-solving methodologies.
  • Experience working within regulated industries such as medical devices, life sciences, or highly regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Interest in pursuing Google Associate Cloud Engineer or related cloud certifications.

Education Requirements:

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and a minimum of 2-5 years of related experience, or a Master's degree and 0-2 years of equivalent experience.
