The Role

The Data Quality Analyst supports the Data Quality Team, Client Strategy, Specialist Departments, Estates, Valuation & Appraisals and Senior Management through data quality management, business analytics, market intelligence, and reporting. The role is responsible for maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and consistency of client and object data, identifying data quality improvement opportunities, and delivering insights that support, client engagement, valuation activities, and strategic decision-making. The role also serves as a key APAC contact for client data and valuation-related matters, supporting cross-functional collaboration and regional business intelligence initiatives.

 

Specific duties & responsibilities will include but are not limited to

·       Maintain the accuracy, completeness, consistency, and integrity of client and object data through account maintenance, data updates, duplicate record management, data validation, quality assurance checks, and root cause investigation of data issues.

·       Monitor data quality metrics, trends, and exceptions, escalating material issues where required and partnering with stakeholders to implement sustainable improvements to data quality processes, controls, standards, and governance practices.

·       Support data governance initiatives, including the documentation of data standards, business rules, data definitions, best practices, and the provision of staff guidance and training on data management processes.

·       Generate reports, dashboards, and business intelligence from client, object, sales, and reporting databases, validating underlying data quality and identifying anomalies to support business planning and decision-making.

·       Manage underbidder reporting, departmental statistics, and other regular business reporting requirements.

·       Manage and coordinate valuation projects across multiple specialist departments, ensuring timely delivery and effective stakeholder coordination.

·       Serve as the key APAC contact for EAV matters, supporting the quality, consistency, accuracy, and governance of valuation data and reports in line with global standards.

·       Conduct analyses and provide insights on client activity, collecting patterns, buying and selling trends, buyer demographics, regional contributions, and auction performance to support strategic decision-making.

·       Provide market intelligence and research on industry trends and client opportunities to support specialist departments and senior management reporting.

·       Support client engagement initiatives effectiveness analysis and post-sale buyer research.

·       Other duties as assigned by the Manager.

 

The Candidate

·       Bachelor's or Master's degree from a recognised university.

·       Preferably 2–3 years of experience working with databases; experience with data visualisation tools is an advantage.

·       Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

·       Strong data management and analytical skills, with a proven ability to interpret and analyse complex datasets.

·       Passionate about data quality and accuracy, with meticulous attention to detail.

·       Excellent written, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.

·       Fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.

·       Highly organised, with the ability to prioritize workload, manage multiple tasks, meet tight deadlines, and balance short-term demands with longer-term projects.

·       Proactive, adaptable, and collaborative team player with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

·       Positive attitude with a willingness to take ownership of responsibilities and embrace new assignments.
