We are seeking a highly skilled Cross-Border Operations Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role will focus on managing cross-border freight operations for Mexico. The ideal candidate has a proven background in cross-border logistics, carrier sales and is fluent in both English and Spanish.
**This is an after-hours position. The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, 12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.**
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage cross-border shipments between the U.S. and Mexico, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with regulations
- Work closely with carriers, shippers, and customs brokers to facilitate smooth transit
- Identify, negotiate, and secure capacity with carriers to meet customer shipping requirements
- Monitor and track shipments, providing real-time updates to clients and internal stakeholders
- Resolve any issues related to customs, documentation, or freight delays
- Maintain compliance with international shipping regulations and company policies
Requirements:
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (required)
- Previous operations experience in cross-border Mexico freight (required)
- Proven experience in carrier sales, including capacity sourcing and rate negotiation
- Strong understanding of U.S.-Mexico customs processes and logistics regulations
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities
- Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field highly preferred
