About this Controller role at Reviverx
Position Summary
The Controller is responsible for overseeing all accounting operations for ReviveRx, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting while maintaining strong internal controls across the organization. This role manages the day-to-day accounting function, including general ledger oversight, financial statement preparation, budgeting, and compliance with applicable regulations within the pharmacy and healthcare industry. The Controller partners closely with executive leadership to provide financial insight that supports strategic decision making and sustains the organization's growth.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting and Accounting Operations
- Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Manage the general ledger, ensuring proper account reconciliation and adherence to GAAP
- Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll accounting, and cash management functions
- Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance across the organization
- Monitor budget to actual performance and provide variance analysis and recommendations
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for cost efficiency
Compliance and Internal Controls
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations, as well as healthcare and pharmacy specific requirements
- Maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting
- Coordinate and manage external audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting requirements
- Stay current on accounting standards and regulatory changes relevant to the healthcare and pharmacy industry
Leadership and Cross Functional Collaboration
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Partner with executive leadership to provide financial insight that supports strategic planning
- Collaborate with operations, pharmacy, and clinical teams to align financial practices with organizational goals
- Present financial reports and analysis to leadership
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience
- 5+ years in a supervisory or leadership capacity
- CPA certification
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Expertise in identifying process improvement opportunities; including using system tools
- Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
- Experience with multi-entity or multi-location accounting structures
- Experience in healthcare, pharmacy, or a similarly regulated industry
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Primarily office based on site position
- Fast paced environment supporting a growing pharmacy and healthcare organization
- Regular interaction with cross functional teams, including operations, pharmacy, and executive leadership
- Primarily sedentary role with extended periods of sitting at a desk
- Frequent use of hands for typing, data entry, and computer-based work
- Visual acuity required for extended computer use and detailed financial review
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally
