CNC Fabrication Equipment Operator

Starting Pay: From $23.00/hour (Higher pay available based on experience)
Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable CNC Fabrication Equipment Operator to support structural steel production. In this role, you will operate automated fabrication equipment, verify quality standards, and help ensure materials are processed safely and accurately. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with CNC experience in a manufacturing or steel fabrication environment.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC fabrication equipment, including plasma cutters, beam drill lines, and angle lines.
Read blueprints, fabrication drawings, and production work orders to determine project requirements.
Load, position, and secure steel beams, plates, and other materials using overhead cranes and rigging equipment.
Monitor machine performance and make adjustments to maintain quality and production accuracy.
Inspect completed parts using tape measures, calipers, squares, and other precision measuring tools.
Make basic CNC program edits to accommodate different material sizes and thicknesses.
Perform routine equipment maintenance and troubleshoot minor machine issues.
Follow OSHA guidelines and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school education is a plus.
At least 2 years of CNC machine operating experience in structural steel fabrication or heavy manufacturing.
Ability to read and interpret structural steel blueprints and shop drawings.
Experience using precision measuring tools to verify dimensions and tolerances.
Familiarity with overhead cranes, forklifts, and rigging equipment is preferred.
Strong mechanical skills with excellent attention to detail.
Able to work independently while also contributing to a team-oriented production environment.
