Under general supervision, determines, assesses, and documents the business functions and operating characteristics of departments and divisions that utilize the medical center’s automated data systems, databases, and data networks, or that support and enhance health system operations, administrative and management functions, and patient outcomes.
Plans, develops, and prepares detailed specifications for application systems to meet the requirements, missions, and goals of the medical center. Performs system implementation, testing, evaluation, and follow-through to ensure successful deployment and ongoing effectiveness.
Determines, diagnoses, isolates, and resolves application resource, utilization, and system errors. Develops fault diagnosis, isolation, and resolution techniques to ensure optimal system performance is consistently maintained.
Trains technical, support, and customer personnel in the use and development of application programs and develops training programs, materials, and procedures to support effective system utilization.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience supporting and maintaining application systems in a healthcare, academic medical center, or large organizational environment.
