We specialize in personalized ABA therapy for children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Our center-based model brings BCBAs, RBTs, SLPs, and other clinical professionals together to provide coordinated, high-quality care in one supportive environment.

Your Role

As an SLP at BHW, you’ll provide comprehensive speech and language services to children with developmental and communication needs. You’ll work closely with BCBAs, RBTs, families, and other members of the clinical team to support communication, social interaction, and functional skill development.

You’ll have the opportunity to work directly with clients while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to create a consistent and individualized approach to care.

What You’ll Do

  • Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments
  • Develop individualized treatment goals based on client needs
  • Provide direct speech and language therapy in a center-based setting
  • Support development of functional communication and social communication skills
  • Collaborate with BCBAs, RBTs, families, and other professionals to support client goals
  • Participate in team meetings and communicate client progress with the clinical team
  • Monitor and document client progress through accurate data collection and clinical documentation
  • Provide recommendations and strategies to support communication across environments
  • Educate and collaborate with families and caregivers as appropriate
  • Maintain compliance with professional, ethical, and organizational standards

What You Bring

Required:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Current California Speech-Language Pathology license
  • Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
  • Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary clinical team
  • Passion for working with children with autism and developmental disabilities

Preferred:

  • Experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder or developmental disabilities
  • Experience in a pediatric, ABA, school, or multidisciplinary setting
  • Experience supporting functional and social communication
  • Familiarity with AAC and other communication supports
  • Experience collaborating with BCBAs or other behavioral health professionals
  • Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit on the floor, kneel, crouch, bend, and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to frequently transition between floor and standing positions throughout the workday.
  • Ability to actively engage with children and move throughout the center to support client safety and participation.
  • Ability to respond appropriately to challenging behaviors and client safety concerns.
  • Ability to lift, move, or assist children and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, as required by assigned cases, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to use a computer, smartphone, tablet, or other electronic devices for documentation, communication, and data collection.
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the position within a center-based clinical environment.
