About this Category Buyer role at Airbus
Job Description:
An opportunity for an Category Buyer has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space, Getafe (Madrid).
The mission is to establish procurement activities for one or more products/packages/suppliers, guarantee the contractual framework of the suppliers with the company and provide the best purchasing conditions for the company.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Contribute to the supply activity, manage the presentation of bids and the negotiation of contracts to achieve the best purchasing conditions in accordance with the company's requirements.
- Monitor the contract (during the innovation, development, series and support phases) with suppliers and company stakeholders to ensure, throughout the contract term, full compliance with the conditions to guarantee that suppliers perform as expected in all dimensions (logistics, support, quality, cost...).
- Manage daily relationships with suppliers and ongoing projects to optimize customer value while minimizing total cost of ownership and risks.
- Forms part of the multifunctional or multidivisional teams during the bid submission, contracting and contract validity phases.

Education: University degree or master's degree.
Experience: At least 2-3 years of experience related to the position.
Soft skills: Strong negotiation and communication skills. Analytical mindset with a focus on solving operational problems. Highly organized and methodical approach to work.
Languages: Advanced level in English.
