You will form part of the Mass Foundation Cluster which is one of the largest customer-facing business segments in Old Mutual. Our target market is the low and emerging-middle income segment.Accountabilities for the Campaign Manager include:
Translating business strategy, priorities and customer insights into compelling campaign strategies and customer communication experiences.
Managing development and execution of campaigns end-to-end across the customer lifecycle, from acquisition and engagement to retention, growth and loyalty.
Orchestrating campaigns across multiple channels, distribution environments and business areas within a complex, matrixed MFC structure.
Leveraging customer data, segmentation and analytics to enable personalised, insight-led campaigns and improve campaign effectiveness.
Managing internal teams, agencies and suppliers to deliver high-quality campaigns on time, within scope and budget.
Partnering with key stakeholders across the business, external stakeholders, broader marketing teams, communications, digital, data, operations, legal, compliance and technology stakeholders to deliver customer campaigns.
Ensure robust campaign governance, risk management, regulatory compliance and quality assurance.
Measure campaign performance, identify opportunities for optimisation and demonstrate commercial impact and return on investment.
Responsibilities:
Develop and execute integrated marketing, CRM and customer engagement campaigns aligned to MFC’s business and customer objectives.
Manage the end-to-end campaign lifecycle, including research, planning, briefing, creative development, approvals, execution, quality assurance, reporting and optimisation.
Develop campaigns that drive key customer lifecycle outcomes, including acquisition, onboarding, engagement, cross-sell, upsell, retention, loyalty, digital adoption and churn reduction.
Plan and coordinate customer communications across multiple channels, including but not limited to SMS, WhatsApp, email, voice, app, web, social, call centres, branches and relationship channels.
Manage multiple campaigns and projects simultaneously within a complex, matrixed environment, ensuring delivery against agreed timelines, budgets, quality standards and KPIs.
Partner with sales and distribution, product, digital, data, communications, operations, servicing, technology and other stakeholders to deliver integrated campaigns.
Ensure campaigns comply with legal, regulatory, POPIA, compliance, brand and governance requirements, including appropriate approvals, version control and audit processes.
Stay abreast of emerging technologies, channels, customer engagement trends and direct marketing best practice to continuously enhance MFC’s campaign capabilities, implementing change where needed.
Lead, coach, and develop campaign team members while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and high-quality, deadline-driven delivery.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related discipline.
Minimum 5+ years' experience in marketing, communications, CRM, campaign management, or a related field.
Proven experience managing campaigns from strategy development through execution, measurement, and optimisation.
Demonstrated experience operating in highly regulated environments requiring governance, compliance, and formal approval processes.
Developing and executing integrated marketing, CRM, and customer engagement strategies.
End-to-end campaign lifecycle management, including briefing, planning, budgeting, approvals, execution, reporting, performance measurement, optimisation and post-campaign analysis, using insights to drive continuous improvement and business outcomes.
Customer lifecycle marketing across acquisition, onboarding, engagement, retention, cross-sell, upsell, loyalty and churn management.
Managing and optimising customer journeys to improve customer experience and business outcomes.
Orchestrating multiple campaigns simultaneously within a complex, matrixed environment.
Managing campaign budgets, supplier costs, and agency spend while ensuring optimal resource utilisation and business value.
Stakeholder management, including collaboration with agencies, suppliers, product, operations, marketing, legal, compliance, technology and senior leadership teams.
Managing formal governance, approval, and risk management processes, including legal, compliance, regulatory, POPIA, brand, version control, and audit requirements.
Delivering customer communication and engagement initiatives associated with business transformation, operational change, or regulatory programmes.
Leading, coaching, and developing teams to achieve business and campaign objectives.
Industry experience: Financial Services, Insurance, Banking, Fintech and Lending
