We are seeking a skilled CAE Simulation Engineer with expertise in automotive crash and safety simulations to support the development of safe, reliable, and high-performance vehicle systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in crashworthiness analysis, explicit finite element simulations, and vehicle safety validation using industry-leading CAE tools.

In this role, you will collaborate with design, engineering, and product development teams to perform advanced simulations, analyze crash performance, and provide design recommendations that enhance vehicle safety and structural integrity.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform automotive crash and safety simulations using industry-standard CAE tools.
  • Conduct crashworthiness analysis and explicit finite element simulations for vehicle components and complete vehicle systems.
  • Develop, execute, and validate crash simulation models to evaluate structural performance under various impact scenarios.
  • Analyze simulation results, identify design improvements, and recommend engineering solutions to meet safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with design, product development, and manufacturing teams to optimize vehicle structures for crash performance.
  • Support virtual validation activities throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Prepare technical reports, simulation documentation, and engineering recommendations.
  • Participate in design reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of simulation methodologies and processes.
  • Ensure simulation models comply with quality standards and project requirements.

Requirements

Must-Have Skills

  • 4–6 years of experience in Automotive CAE Simulation.
  • Strong hands-on experience with LS-DYNA.
  • Experience in Crash Simulation and Crashworthiness Analysis.
  • Strong understanding of Explicit Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
  • Experience working on automotive crash and safety engineering projects.
  • Ability to interpret simulation results and recommend design improvements.
  • Strong understanding of vehicle safety principles and structural analysis.

Good-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with ABAQUS.
  • Exposure to EV Battery Safety or Battery Crash Simulation.
  • Knowledge of occupant safety and vehicle crash regulations.
  • Experience with pre-processing and post-processing tools such as HyperMesh, ANSA, or LS-PrePost.
  • Understanding of material modeling, contact definitions, and nonlinear analysis.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4–6 years of professional experience in automotive CAE, crash simulation, or vehicle safety engineering.
  • Experience supporting complete vehicle development programs or safety validation projects.
  • Familiarity with automotive industry standards and virtual validation methodologies.

Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent debugging and engineering analysis skills.
  • Effective communication and technical documentation capabilities.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to engineering quality.
  • Ability to manage multiple simulation activities within project timelines.

Success Metrics

Success in this role will be measured by the accuracy and quality of crash simulation models, timely completion of CAE deliverables, and the ability to identify design improvements that enhance vehicle safety and structural performance. Performance will also be evaluated based on successful support for vehicle development programs, effective collaboration with engineering teams, and contributions toward achieving crashworthiness targets, regulatory compliance, and product reliability.
