What is the opportunity?

As the Business Manager, you will partner with Assistant Relationship Manager (ARM) Team Leads to deliver exceptional client experiences while fostering a positive, collaborative culture within RBC Wealth Management Asia (WMA).

What will you do?

• Lead ARM Team Leads to deliver exceptional client experiences while fostering a positive, collaborative culture within RBC Wealth Management Asia.
• Manage ARM recruitment and training; assist the WMA COO in optimizing resource planning to align with operational workflows and productivity goals.
• Act as delegate to the Head of Private Banking Hong Kong to approve delegated responsibilities as required.
• Oversee daily transaction processing and exception approvals, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Investigate operational errors, implement corrective actions, and mitigate risks through proactive monitoring.
• Enable business growth by collaborating with Team Heads and ARM Team Leads to optimize resource allocation, resolve operational issues, and enhance workflows through structured tracking and support.
• Chair and lead monthly operational health review sessions with Team Heads and ARM Team Leads.
• Engage with Business Transformation Group and IT teams to plan and execute WMA initiatives, driving operational change and efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to compliance directives, KYC requirements, due diligence, AML protocols, and cross-border regulations.
• Advise the Front Office on adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

• University degree in Business Management, Finance, Economics or other relevant professional finance qualifications.
• At least 8 years’ relevant experience in financial services industry.
• Experience and knowledge of wealth management or private banking investment products will be highly preferred.
• Excellent communication and client servicing skills in both written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
• Strong people management skills.
• Basic Bloomberg and Reuters.
• Demonstrated computer skills, including MS Word and MS Excel.
• HKSI Licensing Examination Papers 1, 7 & 8 or equivalent.

Nice-to-have

• Certified ECF qualification is preferred
