Business Development Manager - Publishing & Digital Media.

We are seeking an ambitious and commercially driven Business Development Manager to accelerate revenue growth across our publishing and digital media portfolio. This is an exciting opportunity for a proven sales professional who thrives on building strong client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and delivering integrated advertising solutions across publishing, digital, social, events, and content marketing channels.

The successful candidate will play a key role in expanding our market presence, developing strategic partnerships, and helping clients achieve measurable marketing outcomes through innovative media solutions.

About the role:

• Identify, prospect, and secure new business opportunities across key industry sectors.

• Develop and manage a robust pipeline of advertising and sponsorship revenue opportunities.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with agency partners, direct advertisers, and key stakeholders.

• Present compelling multi-platform media solutions that incorporate digital, print, content marketing, events, newsletters, and social media.

• Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

• Negotiate commercial agreements and close high-value advertising partnerships.

• Collaborate with editorial, marketing, creative, and digital teams to deliver outstanding client campaigns.

• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities within the media landscape.

• Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reporting, and CRM records.

• Represent the business at industry events, networking functions, and client meetings.

About You:

You are a highly motivated sales professional with a passion for media, publishing, and digital marketing. You bring a consultative sales approach, strong commercial acumen, and a proven ability to win and grow accounts.

• 3+ years' experience in media, advertising, digital marketing, or B2B sales.

• Proven track record of achieving and exceeding revenue targets.

• Strong knowledge of digital advertising solutions and integrated marketing campaigns.

• Confident presenting proposals and building trusted client relationships.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

• Strong prospecting, pipeline management, and business development capabilities.

• Self-motivated, commercially minded, and results-driven.

• Experience within publishing, media, broadcasting, or digital media is highly regarded.

• Existing agency and advertiser networks are an advantage.

• Familiarity with CRM platforms such as Salesforce or HubSpot.

• Understanding of audience analytics and campaign performance reporting.
