Job Description

Purpose of the role

To support the bank's decision-making processes by providing timely, accurate, and insightful information through designing, developing, and maintaining management reports, compelling visualisations and dashboards that effectively communicate key performance indicators (KPIs), data insights and trends across various business units. 

Accountabilities

  • Design and development of comprehensive reports and dashboards utilisng best practices in data visualisation principles and design aesthetics to ensure clarity, accuracy, and accessibility.

  • Design, development and implementation of automated report generation processes and visualisation methodologies for improved efficiency and timeliness. 

  • Identification and analysis of business requirements to define report content and format.

  • Maintenance and updating of existing reports and dashboards to reflect changing business needs, including co-ordination of reporting template releases and related administrative tasks.

  • Development of robust processes & controls for collating input data, performing exploratory data analysis & data cleansing and seeking signoffs as required. 

  • Engagement with stakeholders as needed to ensure up to date data is incorporated into reporting and visualisations.

  • Advise key stakeholders, including functional leadership teams and senior management on functional and cross functional areas of impact and alignment.

To be successful as a "Business Analyst", you should have experience with:

Basic/ Essential Qualifications:

  • Senior subject-matter resource with deep experience in intraday liquidity, payments, treasury or cash management, able to translate business, risk and regulatory needs into clear data outcomes.
  • Strong data-management background covering data ownership, governance, quality controls, lineage, reconciliation, metadata and the creation of trusted, auditable datasets.
  • Advanced analytical capability using SQL, data modelling and modern BI tools to define KPIs, investigate complex data issues and deliver decision-ready liquidity insights.
  • Proven stakeholder leadership across Business, Operations, Risk and Technology, with the ability to shape requirements, challenge assumptions and drive data remediation to completion.

     

Desirable skillsets/ good to have:

  • Experience analysing intraday positions, payment flows, nostro accounts, thresholds, exceptions and liquidity risk across multiple currencies.
  • Familiarity with near-real-time data, APIs, event streams/Kafka and integration with microservices and operational analytics platforms.
  • Experience applying GenAI-assisted analysis and Agile delivery practices within a regulated financial-services environment.
