We are looking for a skilled Backend Engineer with 2–10 years of experience to join our engineering team and build reliable, scalable, and high-performance backend systems. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in backend engineering, with a solid understanding of software architecture, APIs, databases, and distributed systems.

You will work closely with product managers, frontend engineers, and other technical teams to design and develop robust solutions that support business-critical applications. This role is well suited for an engineer who enjoys solving complex technical problems, writing clean and maintainable code, and contributing to systems that can scale with growing user and business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend services and applications.
• Build robust APIs and services that are secure, reliable, and optimized for performance.
• Work with databases, data models, caching mechanisms, and other backend infrastructure.
• Translate product and business requirements into efficient technical solutions.
• Design and implement scalable software architectures and backend components.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and improve system reliability, scalability, and response times.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested, and production-ready code.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices and standards.
• Troubleshoot production issues and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges.
• Develop automated tests and ensure high standards of code quality and reliability.
• Contribute to technical documentation, architecture discussions, and continuous improvement of development processes.
• Collaborate with frontend and full-stack engineers when building end-to-end product features.

Must-Have Skills

• 2–10 years of professional experience in backend engineering or software development.
• Strong understanding of backend application development and software engineering principles.
• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Strong knowledge of databases, data structures, algorithms, and system design.
• Experience building scalable, reliable, and maintainable applications.
• Proficiency in writing clean, modular, and testable code.
• Understanding of authentication, authorization, API security, and application performance.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Familiarity with version control systems and modern software development practices.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced engineering environment.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience with full-stack development and familiarity with frontend technologies.
• Strong experience with Python and frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with microservices, distributed systems, message queues, or event-driven architectures.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or Redis.
• Understanding of monitoring, logging, observability, and performance optimization.
