About LawY

LawY is on a mission: to help legal professionals reclaim their time with AI they actually trust and that understands them.

At LawY, you're not selling generic AI: you're helping legal professionals reclaim their time and deliver better outcomes for their clients and stakeholders. Built by lawyers, we've spent two years listening, learning, and evolving our AI-native workspace. Now it’s available as a standalone subscription, expanding from trusted legal research into drafting, contract intelligence, and matter analysis.

You'll be joining at the most exciting inflection point: we've proven product-market fit, our users genuinely love what we've built, and we're scaling a solution that lawyers actually want to adopt. If you want to build something that genuinely helps people do meaningful work better, this is it.

What you’ll do

We’re looking for a high-energy, experienced B2B Events Marketing Manager to take hands-on ownership of LawY’s Australian events program as we accelerate growth. This is the on-the-ground events role at LawY – owning our presence across the conferences, roundtables, webinars, sponsorships and industry events that build the LawY brand and connect us with lawyers across Australia. You’ll manage the full event lifecycle – from identifying opportunities and building the calendar, through logistics, delivery, follow-up and reporting – working closely with Marketing and Sales to turn events into high-quality leads, demos and pipeline.

To make this happen you will:

  • Build and manage LawY’s events calendar, including conferences, sponsorships, roundtables, webinars and sales-led activations. You’ll also coordinate LawY’s global webinar program, providing local teams with the plans, assets and support they need to deliver events in their markets.
  • Own the end-to-end delivery of every event, from initial planning through to post-event follow-up.
  • Identify and evaluate new event opportunities based on audience fit, strategic value and expected ROI.
  • Manage budgets, venues, suppliers, registrations, travel, technology, collateral, and event logistics.
  • Be hands-on at events, including setup, speaker briefings, attendee engagement, troubleshooting, and pack-down.
  • Coordinate speakers, presentations, briefing documents, run sheets, and event communications.
  • Work closely with Marketing and Sales on invitations, promotion, meeting generation, lead follow-up, and nurture.
  • Coordinate event materials, including decks, brochures, one-pagers, landing pages, emails, signage, and social assets.
  • Build strong relationships with legal associations, industry bodies, event organisers and sponsorship providers.
  • Represent LawY confidently and professionally at events across Australia, including presenting, facilitating discussions and MCing webinars as needed.
  • Monitor competitor activity, audience feedback and emerging opportunities in the legal technology market.
  • Track registrations, attendance, engagement, leads, meetings, pipeline influence, and ROI in HubSpot.
  • Report on what is working, what is not, and where LawY should invest next.

What you’ll bring

  • 5+ years’ experience in events, field marketing, campaign marketing or a related B2B role.
  • Proven experience personally delivering conferences, sponsorships, roundtables and webinars.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple events and priorities at once.
  • Confident working with Sales, Marketing, suppliers, speakers and external partners.
  • A commercial mindset and an understanding of how events support brand growth, pipeline and revenue.
  • Experience with HubSpot or a similar CRM.
  • Experience in SaaS, legal technology, AI or professional services would be highly regarded.
  • Based in Sydney, with the flexibility to travel interstate regularly.

You are the type of person who

  • Is comfortable managing both the big picture and the hands-on details required to deliver a successful event.
  • Is highly social, outgoing and comfortable representing a brand in person.
  • Stays calm under pressure and able to solve problems quickly during live events.
  • Loves bringing people together, building relationships and making events happen from the ground up.
  • Has strong written communication skills and excellent attention to detail.

LawY is an inclusive, people-first company committed to breaking down institutional barriers that keep people from reaching their potential. If you meet some, but not all the requirements above, we encourage you to still submit your application.

Why join LawY?

  • Your work matters. We solve real world problems that improve and support local, everyday law firms. So they can do their best work for the people in the communities they serve.
  • Make an impact. You won’t be another ‘cog in the wheel’ here. We give full trust and autonomy for you to be heard, to work on big & complex projects – and to make a real difference.
