About the Role
The Gersh Agency in New York is seeking an Assistant to support the Head of the Global Branding and Endorsements department. One year of experience in entertainment, marketing, or public relations is preferred. Strong knowledge and passion for marketing, social media, and pop culture is also preferred. This department facilitates all aspects of talent representation and coordination including pitching for and procuring paid opportunities and partnerships, negotiating deals, facilitating payments, creating detailed itineraries, and covering clients on a global scale. The ideal candidate has an interest in becoming a talent agent and a passion for all things in the branding and conventions sphere and will be able to work well within a team and be prepared for a fast-paced, detail-oriented and hands-on environment.
Duties
- Effectively communicate and interact with high-profile clients, managers, lawyers, and publicists, as well as third party marketing agencies, and brands direct with the utmost professionalism.
- Track ongoing client deals including details such as fee, buyer contact, payment terms, services, shoot day travel/logistics, social deliverables, PR, approvals, etc. Act as liaison between clients, brands, and third-party marketing agencies.
- Compile incoming talent needs submissions, identify clients who align with each inquiry and send back to buyer in a timely manner. Pitch clients on talent roster for incoming opportunities (fashion shows, branded events, larger campaign opportunity, social media activation, etc.) according to clients’ specific personal brands.
- Generate targeted outreach according to specific client needs (upcoming movie or tv show release, pregnancy announcement, wedding, etc.)
- Work closely with accounting to input client bookings, submit invoices, and track all incoming client monies.
- Attend to administrative duties such as rolling calls, monitoring emails, scheduling meetings (internal & external), executing campaign/partnership logistics, generating itineraries, and keeping tracking grids up to date.
- Ad hoc duties for projects as needed.
Qualifications
- 1 year of work experience in the entertainment, marketing, or PR industry strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Handle highly sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion.
- Excellent written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Liaise with high profile, A-List clients with the utmost professionalism and composure.
- Superior time management and multi-tasking skills.
- Able to work well in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Positive attitude, highly organized, and ability to work well under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent follow-up.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Passion for and knowledge of social media and pop culture.
Compensation
$21/hour + Full Benefits
