This role is onsite 5 days a week in Hodgkins, IL
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Assistant Operations Manager to own 2nd shift Outbound Warehouse Operations (Dry and Fresh/Frozen) at our Randolph’s fulfillment center. Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, this role directly manages a team driving daily throughput against targets while building a stronger frontline leadership bench. Your goal will be to increase operational efficiency, raise the floor of frontline leadership, and ensure a safe environment.
Responsibilities
- Own 2nd shift Outbound execution end-to-end, with primary focus on Dry and Fresh/Frozen operations, driving throughput against daily targets
- Maintain outbound distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures
- Evaluate performance metrics to ensure quality delivery and cost-efficient work-flow processes
- Managing frontline teams in a high-volume, fast-paced fulfillment environment and comfortable coaching the team
- Comply with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by understanding and studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions
- Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols
- Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement
- Achieve financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions
- Complete warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in warehouse/fulfillment operations
- 2+ years of experience in a supervisory or management role
- Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience, including KPI/productivity tracking
- Proficient computer skills, including Excel and reporting tools
- Able to work 2nd shift consistently
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
- Six Sigma / Lean process improvement exposure preferred
- Experience helping scale a growing distribution center preferred
- OSHA certification or project management certification a plus

Compensation Range
- The US base salary range for this full-time position is $75,000 - $88,000
- This role may be eligible to discretionary bonus, incentives and benefits
- Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location
