Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:

As an AQL Auditor, your main duty is to conduct thorough QC inspections to ensure the brand integrity of Arc’teryx through the maintenance of product construction standards.

This role is based out of our Arc’One Manufacturing facility. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.

ARC’One, our manufacturing facility in New Westminster, is home to a team of skilled makers and technicians who bring Arc’teryx products to life. Located near our Design Center, the facility plays an important role in how we prototype, test, refine and manufacture the technical gear we are known for.

Some of our most technically complex products including Alpha SV and new product pilots are built here. The facility also supports ReBIRD repair and renewal programs, helping extend the life of Arc’teryx gear.

This is hands-on, precision work where craftsmanship, problem-solving and continuous improvement come together on the production floor. This is Who We Are.

If you were in the AQL Auditor role now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:

  • You conduct thorough QC inspections on Arc One and Overseas finished goods production according to AQL sampling by reviewing all goods with a careful eye, noting and recording deviations from quality standards and defects in our inspection system (Inspectorio) and take careful measurements of goods according to production specs and record results

  • You review all supporting product documentation before inspection to ensure finished goods conform to design and development expectations (approved sample, Defect code classification, PI-QC handover, Inspection Guideline)

  • You develop and maintain a thorough understanding of Arc’teryx quality standards as outlined in the Quality Declaration, Principles, Philosophy, Inspection Manual, defect code classification.

  • You confer frequently with the AQL QC Team Lead, QC Specialists and QC Manager as well as other AQL team members to ensure consistent application of the standards.

  • You provide guidance on standards to production QCs and Production Supervisors as required.

  • You work with the Warehouse QC Team lead to perform inspections on goods received from overseas as required.

  • You work with the QC Team leads and QC Manager on special quality projects and inspections when necessary

  • You take responsibility for the final decision to accept or reject goods from production according to whether they meet Arc’teryx quality standards

  • Are you our next AQL Auditor?

  • You have 5+ years of experience in garment manufacturing and quality control

  • You have excellent knowledge of apparel construction

  • You have knowledge of material and textile construction and propertiesYou have general knowledge of inspection principals (AQL Sampling)

  • You have high attention to detail and ability to focus

  • You are proficient with multiple computer applications (MS office suite and others)

  • You are willing to share your knowledge and train other team members

  • You are comfortable taking responsibility for consequential decisions

  • You ideally have basic knowledge of a spoken second language

  • It’s a bonus if you have knowledge of Arc’teryx’s unique products

  • You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions

  • You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity

  • You effectively balance autonomy and collaboration

  • You inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement

  • You seek the best (sometimes not the easiest) solutions, with an unwavering commitment to do what is right

  • Compensation:

    The salary range for this role is CAD$25.50 - CAD$31.75 per hour
