  • Facilitate continuous, transparent information flow so both teams share a unified understanding of what is being built, why it matters, how it will be executed, and when work will be completed. This includes development of visuals to be presented to a broad set of stakeholders. Provide timely updates to Product Management on development status, risks, trade-offs, and technical decisions that may affect scope or timeline.
  • Lead backlog grooming, ensuring that engineering has the context, clarity, and detail needed for effective planning and execution. Track engineering work, monitor progress against backlog, and support release planning.
  • Ensure product cohesion across features and releases, maintaining alignment with overall product vision. Advocate for technical enhancements, infrastructure investments, and scalability improvements that support long-term product health.
Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) and gather feedback to validate product functionality.
  • Document release notes and communicate updates to internal and external stakeholders. Conduct post-release evaluations with both Product and Engineering to identify improvements in process, quality, and collaboration.

Qualifications:

  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. personnel security clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field.
  • 3+ years of experience in product management or technical project management, preferably in aerospace, defense, or high-tech hardware/software environments.
  • Strong understanding of software or hardware development lifecycle and methodologies, and engineering backlog management.
  • Ability to translate business needs into clear functional requirements and technical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with tools for backlog tracking, release management, and metrics monitoring (e.g., Jira, Confluence, GitHub, or similar).

Preferred:

  • Prior experience with radar or aerospace systems.
  • Knowledge of product management principles and product development practices.
  • Experience delivering scalable products to national security customers.
