Job Title: Senior Supply Chain  Analyst

Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Supply Chain Operations & Planning Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of supply chain processes, and the ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives. This role involves analyzing data, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and implementing strategies to enhance the efficiency of our supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Data Analysis and Reporting:
    • Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
    • Generate regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insights to support decision-making.
  2. Planning & Inventory Management:
    • Monitor and optimize inventory levels to ensure alignment with demand forecasts.
    • Initiate PR requests, expedite late purchase order and follow up on past promise dates with vendor(s)
    • Manage vendors in scope and ensure reporting released on time and accurately
    • Collaborate with procurement, operations, Product life cycle teams & vendors to maintain an efficient and cost-effective inventory.
  3. Order management
    • End to end management of active bill of materials (BOM) & drop shipment fulfillment.
    • Resolution of shortages and collaborating with cross functional teams to resolve exceptions in the fulfillment and delivery of customer orders.
  4. Inventory Management:
    • Monitor and optimize inventory levels to ensure alignment with demand forecasts.
    • Collaborate with procurement and production teams to maintain an efficient and cost-effective inventory.
  5. Process Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for process improvement within the supply chain.
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams to implement changes that enhance overall operational efficiency.
  6. Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with stakeholders, including procurement, logistics, and production, PLM & other stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination across the supply chain.
    • Participate in regular meetings to address operational & planning challenges and drive collaborative solutions.
  7. Supply Chain Visibility:
    • Enhance supply chain visibility through the implementation of tracking and monitoring tools.
    • Work with technology teams to leverage systems that improve real-time visibility into supply chain activities.
  8. Performance Metrics:
    • Define and track key performance metrics for supply chain operations & planning.
    • Develop and maintain dashboards that provide a comprehensive overview of the supply chain's performance.
  9. Root Cause Analysis:
    • Conduct root cause analysis for supply chain disruptions or inefficiencies.
    • Implement corrective actions and preventative measures to mitigate future issues.
  10. Leadership and capability development
    • Lead complex analytical initiatives and act as the subject matter expert for supply chain operations/planning, providing guidance on analytical and decision making.
    • Mentor and coach team members, promoting knowledge sharing, best practices and continuous development across the team.
    • Own and continuously improve reporting standards, analytical processes and operational practices to drive consistency, efficiency and business performance.

 

Technical skills needed Responsibilities:

  • Understanding of Supply chain management fundamentals & tools such as SAP or material demand management services, dashboards, o9, etc
  • Effective management of workflows & client requests through ticketing systems
  • Advanced Excel skills / Google sheet (vlookup, xlookup pivot tables, advanced formulas charts, data analysis etc). With the ability to analyse and present complex dataset to support business decision making & utilize other Google applications such as Slides & Docs with quality presentation. Able to understand and reverse engineer reports and logic to support data requests and present findings to client

  • Knowledge of project management methodologies for managing cross functional teams
  • Timeline and milestone management
  • Risk Management with a proven background of working to meet tight deadlines.
  • Communication, Teamwork, and Leadership
  • Effective cross functional collaboration & the ability to work with stakeholders from technical, operations and planning teams.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and document process end to end at a high level.
  • Great attention to detail in understanding context of business requirements and able to take insightful meeting notes.
  • Individual skills: goal-oriented, coachable, critical thinker, and responsible.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead by example, influence stakeholders, mentor colleagues and foster a collaborative high performing culture
  • Problem solving and analytical skills
    • Root cause analysis, identify root causes and have the ability to communicate where needed implement corrective action to avoid re-occurrence
    • Ability to recognize patterns and/or trends in assigned workflows backed with data and historical analysis where needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, business, related field and/or related experience.
  • Minimum of 7 -10 years' experience in Supply Chain management operations & planning roles.
  • Proven experience in supply chain operations or a similar analytical role.
  • Proven experience leading cross functional initiatives and influencing stakeholders without direct line management.
  • Experience mentoring or developing continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Google sheet , and familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in supply chain management or related field.
  • Certification in supply chain management (e.g., APICS) is a plus.
  • Experience with supply chain optimization tools and software.
  • Experience with SQL
