Your role at C12 Quantum Electronics:
As a quantum application scientist, you will be responsible for research and development towards practical applications of quantum computing using C12’s hardware in both near-term and fault-tolerant era. You will have the responsibility of assisting the making of industrial collaborations from the technical perspective, giving technical support to the business team to ensure the feasibility and relevance of projects, identify relevant quantum algorithms partners if required and to identify use cases for clients for which C12 holds a competitive advantage.
Key responsibilities:
You will develop impactful hybrid quantum algorithms and applications that promise commercial advantages in practice and scale
You will collaborate with the software team to implement and develop optimized hybrid workflow of quantum algorithms for our quantum architecture
You will collaborate closely with our business team and industrial partners to explore the potential of quantum computing for specific industries
You will partner with our clients and strategic partners to define and solve problems of real-world interest, and to develop quantum algorithms tailored to their specific needs
You will participate in scientific collaborations with academic and industrial partners
You will present research findings in technical discussions and journal publications
About you:
You have a PhD in computer science, quantum computing, mathematics, engineering physics or related fields
You have 5 years of research and/or industry experience in developing hybrid end-to-end solutions for quantum computing applications would be appreciated
You have experience in applying quantum algorithms to practical problems in areas like optimization, simulation or machine learning
You have a passion for tackling big challenges
You are self-motivated and able to work independently
You are able to collaborate across diverse teams of expert engineers from various backgrounds (chemistry, experimental physics, mathematics, engineering … )
You have good communication skills in English (oral and written)
