Serán BioScience is searching for a Sample Associate to help organize and coordinate inventory for the Quality Control testing laboratory. The Sample Associate plays a key role supporting sample coordination by managing QC sample inventory, including the receipt, handling, shipment, and storage of samples supporting the GMP retention program, stability program, and external Contract Testing Laboratories (CTL) testing. This role combines organizational support to a laboratory environment and is a great opportunity for entry-level professional laboratory experience. Preference will be given to those who have strong attention to detail with firm understanding of documentation compliance and record keeping. Duties and Responsibilities
Sample coordination and receipt from other departments for internal and external testing
Manages QC sample inventory, including in-process, release, retain, and stability samples
Ships samples to external Contract Testing Laboratories (CTL)
Follows up with CTLs on testing and turnaround times to ensure testing deadlines are met
Performs data entry for tracking & trending of sample management and laboratory reports
Keeps accurate and complete records per cGMP.
Effectively communicates updates and results from CTLs to internal team and management
Initiates laboratory investigations, including OOS
All other duties as assigned

Education and Experience
High School diploma
1-2 years experience in a position requiring strong analytical skills (measurements, math, labeling, working with spreadsheets)
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Prolonged periods of sitting or standing in laboratory environment
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
