Our mission is to protect life.

We’re out to make the world a safer place by solving big problems and taking on the public safety challenges of our time. From our company's inception building the TASER to a full suite of hardware and software solutions, we are focused on providing police agencies with state-of-the-art devices and services they need to successfully serve and protect us. In the next few years, we're going to eliminate the burden of paperwork in policing, so officers can increase the time they spend building relationships and serving in their communities. We’ll put video at the heart of police records so our justice system can get to the truth faster. And we won't stop innovating until the bullet is rendered obsolete.

It’s a big mission, but it’s one we’ll pursue relentlessly every single day.

Your Impact

As a Senior QA Technician within the Robotics Engineering team in Brussels, you will play a critical role in the hands-on hardware validation of cutting-edge robotics platforms, including drones and ground robotics. You will be responsible for advanced soldering, PCBA rework, and mechanical assembly, while maintaining our world-class laboratory environment to ensure the reliability of products that protect life.

In this L5 technical role, you will act as a primary interface for engineers during bring-up and debug phases, providing hands-on electrical and mechanical troubleshooting on prototypes. Your expertise in manual rework and your meticulous approach to data collection will directly influence the successful release of our next-generation robotics systems.

Your Day-to-Day

  • Execute hardware test plans and support mechanical assembly for robotics mainboards and subsystems.
  • Perform critical calibrations, including voltage, current, and voltage-clamp calibrations, using specialized equipment such as Arbin testers.
  • Conduct chassis and panel inspections and open-circuit testing to ensure mechanical and electrical integrity.
  • Perform advanced soldering and high-complexity rework on densely populated PCBAs (rigid and flex) to support engineering prototypes.
  • Bring up, characterize, and debug systems using laboratory tools such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analyzers, and power supplies.
  • Maintain and manage the Brussels engineering lab, including equipment calibration schedules, component inventory, and safety compliance.
  • Collect and document test results meticulously, ensuring all data is organized and accessible for engineering review.
  • Partner with Electrical and Mechanical Engineers to reproduce and isolate hardware/software boundary issues.
  • Assist in regulatory compliance testing (FCC, CE, IEC) by preparing test setups and gathering data.
  • Automate repetitive test flows using basic scripting or specialized test software where applicable.

Basic Qualifications

  • Technical degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in an electronics hardware testing or QA technician role, preferably within a high-tech R&D environment.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and PCB layouts.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with electronic test equipment (Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzers, DMMs).
  • Strong proficiency in SMT soldering and manual PCBA rework.
  • Experience with battery testing.
  • Demonstrated ability to document technical test results clearly and concisely using tools like Excel and Word.
  • Independent worker capable of managing lab priorities with minimal supervision.
  • Fluency in English (written and verbal); proficiency in French or Dutch is a plus for the Brussels location.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the robotics or drone industry, including knowledge of flight testing or ground robot movement.
  • Familiarity with embedded Linux or Android environments for basic hardware bring-up and logging.
  • Experience with rapid prototyping tools (e.g., 3D printing, laser cutting, machining).
  • Knowledge of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and ESD protection testing.

Benefits that Benefit You

  • Competitive salary and localized benefits package.
  • Discretionary paid time off.
  • Paid parental leave for all.
  • Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision plans.
  • Fitness Programs and Emotional & Mental Wellness support.
  • Learning & Development programs.
  • And yes, we have snacks in our offices.
