PMC: Facilities Specialist

We are adding to staff and hiring a Facilities Specialist to join our team in our Midtown Manhattan offices. This is a new role on our service-oriented Facilities team that works onsite 5 days a week to meet the needs of employees across 9 floors. Our Facilities team is proud of the work we do in keeping our facilities safe and clean for all employees and guests. We value people and team-building skills and can anticipate needs before they arise.

What You Will Do:

• Perform daily walkthroughs of the space to identify problems such as but not limited to: spills/trash, lighting issues, smells, missing nameplates, and property damage.
• Assist the Associate Manager of Facilities in facilities maintenance and operations.
• Manage all terrace landscaping, beverage machines, snacks/breakfasts, along with ordering inventory and supplies associated.
• Restock the kitchen regularly, wipe counters and tables, remove trash, clean high-touch areas like fridge handles and microwaves.
• Coordinate set up and break down for events and happy hours.
• Deliver mail and packages.
• Oversee vendor work and request/manage COIs.
• Execute office and desk moves.
• Perform minor carpentry repairs like patch/paint as well as installations of artwork and bulletin boards, shelving, etc.

Your Skills and Background:

• Ability to handle multiple, competing, priorities and pressure in a fast-paced environment
• At least 2 years of facilities experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Docs, Slack, Jira, & Building Engines is a plus
• Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills
• Detail-oriented with excellent customer service skills
• Must be able to lift, pull or push up to 30lbs
• Demonstrates a sense of urgency and a propensity for action

A good faith estimate of the compensation is $26.45/hour upon hire. Factors that could be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, years of experience and comparison to current employees already in this role.
