Part Time Caregiver – Saratoga Springs, NY

A family in Saratoga Springs, NY 12866 seeking an experienced, attentive, and compassionate caregiver to provide companionship and mobility support for their loved one. 

Schedule:

• Start Date: August 2026 
• Duration: August through the 3rd week of October, will return May 2027 and run through October again
• Mondays & Saturdays (flexible)
• Approximately 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM or 10:30 AM – 3:30 PM
• Approximately 10 hours/week (occasional flexibility for longer shifts)
• The position will resume May 2027 through October each year, as the family spends the winter months in Florida.

Family Specifications:

• Smoke-free home
• Pet-free home
• Home is fully equipped with medical grab bars

Responsibilities:

• Provide companionship and engage in conversation
• Assist with mobility using a walker and gait belt
• Support light exercises as directed by outpatient physical therapy
• Assist with toileting and transfers
• Supervise meals and provide dining support
• Maintain a calm, attentive, and engaging environment

Requirements:

• Previous caregiving experience required
• Experience assisting with mobility, transfers, and fall prevention required
• Comfortable providing hands-on assistance with toileting
• Patient, attentive, and dependable

Compensation:

• $23- $25 / hour
