Über diese Order Picker Stelle bei Classet
Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Order Picker (Cherry Picker Operator) to join our warehouse operations team in Port Wentworth, Georgia. This is a dedicated equipment operator position where you will play a vital role in keeping our supply chain moving. This is not a manual cart-pushing role; you will be operating heavy machinery daily to retrieve inventory and prepare orders for shipment.
If you have a strong track record of safe machinery operation, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and are looking for a stable full-time position with consistent hours, we encourage you to apply.
Compensation and Hours
- Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
- Standard Shift: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- Overtime Flexibility: Candidates must be available to work overtime as needed. This includes shifts starting as early as 6:00 AM, ending as late as 4:30 PM, and potential weekend shifts.
What Success Looks Like
On a day-to-day basis, you will safely operate a Cherry Picker to locate, retrieve, and move inventory across multiple levels of the warehouse. Success in this role means maintaining a high level of picking accuracy while adhering strictly to safety guidelines.
Over time, successful operators become key contributors to our warehouse efficiency. You will master our layout, consistently meet daily performance targets, maintain an excellent attendance record, and help foster a culture of safety and teamwork on the warehouse floor.
Requirements
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Equipment Experience: At least 12 consecutive months of hands-on experience operating an Order Picker (Cherry Picker). This must be equipment-operating experience, not manual material handling.
- Comfort with Heights: Ability and comfort working at elevated heights, as the equipment regularly reaches up to five levels high.
- Environmental Resilience: Ability to work comfortably in a standard warehouse environment, which is subject to high temperatures and humidity during warmer months.
- Reliable Transportation: Access to reliable, personal transportation is required. Having your own vehicle is highly preferred to ensure consistent, on-time attendance, as relying on carpools or rideshare services can lead to scheduling conflicts.
- Schedule Flexibility: Commitment to working overtime hours, early starts (6:00 AM), late finishes (4:30 PM), and weekends when production demands require it.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Active or prior forklift/order picker safety certification.
- Experience using RF scanners and digital inventory management systems.
- Previous experience in high-volume distribution or logistics centers.
