About the job :
We are looking for a talented and hands-on Security Operations Engineer to join our Cyber Security Incident Response team. In this role, you will design, build, and continuously improve the detection and response capabilities that protect the Bank's critical infrastructure across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, tune, and maintain detection use cases across SIEM, EDR, and NDR platforms.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance incident response playbooks and security automation workflows.
- Perform proactive threat hunting and advanced analysis across security telemetry to identify malicious activity.
- Integrate cyber threat intelligence into operational detection and response processes.
- Develop scripts and tools to automate repetitive SOC tasks and improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with IT, infrastructure, cloud, and platform teams to strengthen security visibility and detection coverage.
- Support the Bank's operational security compliance with regulatory and industry standards, including DORA, ISO 27001, and NIS2.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of security monitoring, incident response, and SOC engineering capabilities.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field (BSc, MSc).
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC), Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT), or Incident Response (IR) role, preferably in regulated environment (i.e. financial services, telecoms).
- Solid experience with at least one enterprise SIEM platform, including detection engineering, log parsing, and query development.
- Familiarity with EDR/XDR technologies and endpoint telemetry analysis.
- Good understanding of attacker tactics, techniques, and procedures (MITRE ATT&CK) and the ability to translate them into effective detection logic.
- Experience with scripting and automation using Python, PowerShell, or similar languages.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a continuous learning mindset.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Experience with Microsoft Sentinel, Defender XDR, or the broader Microsoft security stack, will be appreciated.
- Background in penetration testing or red team exercises, will be appreciated.
- Industry certifications such as GCIA, GCIH, GCFE, BTL1/BTL2, SC-200, or equivalent, will be appreciated.
- Knowledge of network security (WAF, NDR, CASB) and cloud security fundamentals, will be appreciated.
