About the role:
We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Graduate Accountant to join our driven, collaborative Finance team. In this role, you will help maintain the financial integrity of JCDecaux’s accounts, with responsibilities across financial statements, reconciliations, audit support and selected aspects of group reporting.
You’ll have the opportunity to work across a broad range of finance activities, learning all you can to progress your career and become a qualified accountant. The business will support you to gain either CA or CPA qualification.
A Day in the Life:
- Assist with IFRS 16/AASB 16 compliance, Anaplan administration, lease data preparation and reconciliations to Fusion and the ledger.
- Produce daily and weekly sales reports using Power BI and complete monthly revenue reconciliations to the General Ledger.
- Complete bank reconciliations for Australia and New Zealand and liaise on bank guarantees with Commercial teams and Landowners.
- Coordinate balance sheet reconciliations, oversee day-to-day processes and ensure the integrity of ledgers, bank reconciliations, OPEX, accruals and prepayments.
- Support annual and half-year audits and assist with preparation of statutory reports for JCDecaux Australia Holdings (Group) and JCDecaux New Zealand.
- Assist with monthly group reporting packs, including upload files, control reviews, error clearing and coordination of inputs and timetables.
- Review existing processes, recommend and help implement improvements to enhance efficiency and add value.
- Support Accounts Payable and Receivable processes and assist Finance leadership with ad hoc finance projects as required.
- Adhere to Group accounting policies and procedures and use Oracle effectively, supporting the Finance team with the system
About you:
You are a recent graduate looking to gain exposure across different aspects of the finance function. Someone who is eager to learn, enjoys working collaboratively and feels comfortable in a fast‑paced environment.
You will also bring:
- Completed Accounting Degree
- High proficiency in Office 365 applications, especially MS Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to learn quickly and continuously develop your skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a focus on accuracy.
