• Configures and enhances existing Finance tools and platforms within the agreed technical and governance framework.

• Develops or supports lightweight automation solutions using technologies such as Power Automate, RPA, Excel VBA, low-code tools, and similar applications.

• Applies generative AI tools effectively and responsibly, in line with applicable data security and governance requirements, to support solution development, data analysis, technical problem-solving, documentation, and testing activities.

• Assesses the technical feasibility of proposed enhancements and provides recommendations based on system capabilities, process dependencies, risks, and expected benefits.

• Identifies opportunities to simplify manual activities, improve data quality, reduce errors, and increase process efficiency through technology.

• Identifies and communicates potential upstream and downstream impacts of proposed changes and raises concerns where an enhancement may create additional complexity, risk, or manual effort elsewhere in Finance.

Testing, Deployment & Controls

• Prepares test scenarios, test cases, and supporting documentation for system configurations, enhancements, integrations, and automation solutions.

• Executes and coordinates functional testing, supports user acceptance testing, documents results, and follows up on identified defects.

• Supports system implementations, upgrades, migrations, integrations, and technical deployments in collaboration with Finance, IT, external vendors, and other stakeholders.

• Validates that implemented solutions meet defined business requirements and operate effectively within the wider end-to-end Finance process.

• Considers relevant accounting, compliance, access, data protection, and internal-control requirements when designing and testing technical solutions.

• Supports audit and control-related requests by providing relevant system documentation, test evidence, configuration details, and technical explanations.

Documentation, Collaboration & Adoption

• Collaborates with Finance teams, process owners, IT, external vendors, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, resolve technical issues, and support implementation activities.

• Acts as a technical point of contact for assigned Finance platforms, enhancements, automation initiatives, and implementation activities.

• Communicates technical concepts, system limitations, risks, and proposed solutions clearly to both business and technical audiences.

• Creates and maintains system documentation, configuration records, technical instructions, test evidence, knowledge articles, and user guidance.

• Develops and updates training materials for new or enhanced tools, system functionalities, and automation solutions.

• Supports training sessions, demonstrations, knowledge-transfer activities, post-implementation stabilization, and user adoption.

• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of relevant Finance technologies, automation capabilities, and AI-enabled solutions in a fast-evolving environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 5–8 years of relevant, demonstrated experience in at least one of the following finance streams: Order-to-Cash, Source-to-Pay, Record-to-Report, or Financial Reporting, preferably within an SSC/BSC environment.

• Understanding of adjacent finance processes and their key dependencies is expected; hands-on experience across multiple finance streams is considered an advantage.

• Experience in configuring, testing, and enhancing existing tools, as well as supporting the implementation of new systems and technologies.

• Hands-on experience with enterprise systems and finance platforms, such as SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, or BlackLine.

• Experience with automation, analytics, or low-code technologies, such as Power BI, Power Automate, RPA, Excel VBA, or similar tools.

• Confident user of generative AI tools, with the ability to apply them effectively and responsibly to support automation development, data analysis, testing, documentation, and technical problem-solving.

• Strong process improvement and automation mindset.

• Ability to translate defined business requirements into practical technical solutions.

• Ability to identify and communicate potential upstream and downstream impacts of tool enhancements and escalate concerns to the relevant process owners and project leads.

• Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills, with a structured, detail-oriented, and execution-focused approach.
