About the Role

This is a full-cycle field sales role. You will be selling Wonderschool's platform and fintech solutions to child care operators across the full spectrum, from solo in-home providers to multi-site center chains. Your job is straightforward: help them understand how Wonderschool makes their operation more efficient, their revenue more predictable, and their growth more achievable.

You will have a large inbound lead list to work alongside your outbound. The product sells itself once operators see it. Your job is to get in front of them and run a clean process.

The commission is uncapped. Hit your number and keep going.

What You Will Do

• Own the full sales cycle: outreach, discovery, demo, close, handoff
• Sell Wonderschool's child care management platform and fintech solutions to operators of all sizes
• Help providers understand how Wonderschool improves enrollment, teacher recruiting, and family retention
• Introduce fintech solutions: tuition collection, subsidy processing, and financial tools built for child care

We are seeking a Head of State Government Sales who is a first-principles thinker with a proven track record in government sales. San Francisco is preferred, but we will consider exceptional candidates anywhere in the US. This role reports directly to the CEO.

Wonderschool already has active partnerships across 15 states and a very rich pipeline. This is not a build-from-scratch role—you’re coming in to scale what’s already working.

This is not a 9-to-5 job. It requires a significant amount of travel—you will attend events throughout the country, work alongside marketing to generate leads and attract the full funnel, and personally carry a bag while building and leading a sales team.

What You’ll Do

• Take ownership of a well-defined, proven sales playbook and scale it across states, cities, and counties

Position Summary

The Head of AI Agent Systems owns the design, performance, and evolution of Wonderschool’s multi-agent system.

This role is responsible for turning a partially working agent system into a production-grade platform that directly drives revenue by improving how we acquire customers, onboard them, operate their businesses, and iterate on product.

This is a hands-on role. You will work directly in the codebase, agent system, and infrastructure while leading a small team of engineers. You will be responsible for making the system work in practice and tying it to business outcomes.

We are looking for an AI-focused Product Manager to own one of the most critical experiences in our platform: provider onboarding and activation. This is not a traditional PM role. You will be hands-on with customers every day—understanding their problems firsthand, translating those insights into product flows powered by AI, and shipping improvements fast. You will own the full loop from customer conversation to deployed product change.

The ideal candidate has a CS degree and has gone to business school—someone who can think technically, communicate clearly with engineers, and bring structured thinking to ambiguous customer problems. Role Overview

We are seeking an Early Career Software Engineer with an interest in applied AI to join our growing team. This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment where you can apply your technical skills to create meaningful impact in the childcare ecosystem. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to build scalable, AI-driven solutions that empower childcare providers and improve parent experiences. This position is on site in our San Francisco office, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday to allow for collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust software solutions with a focus on integrating AI capabilities.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to define requirements and implement innovative features.

• Design and Development of AI Agents: Build modular, task-specific AI agents capable of natural language understanding, dialogue management, and action execution using frameworks such as LangChain or Rasa.
• Debug and troubleshoot technical issues to ensure platform stability.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in software engineering and AI.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Strong foundation in programming languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript).
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).

The Vision

The North Star for this role: a system where a user signal (a provider revenue dropping, an enrollment bottleneck, a churn spike) automatically triggers a chain of AI agents that writes the product requirements, designs the solution, builds the code, reviews it, and ships it. No human in the loop for the routine stuff. Humans define what matters, train the agents, and review edge cases.

We are not there yet. You are the person who helps us get there, piece by piece.

What You Will Do

Own the AI Development Loop

• Review and iterate on AI-generated code (from tools like Claude Code, OpenClaw, Codex, Cursor) and feed that review back as training signal to make the agents better over time
• Architect the codebase for AI legibility: clean data models, strong documentation, deprecation of legacy patterns that cause agents to fail
• Build and maintain the automated product pipeline: signal detection, agent-generated requirements, AI-driven development, AI code review, commit
• When agents break in production, you own the diagnosis and fix

Enable the Business, Not Just the Product

• Build tools and workflow infrastructure that let operations, sales, and customer success teams operate the platform themselves, without filing engineering tickets
• Translate what internal teams need into automated, reliable systems
• Help non-engineers understand what is possible and then make it happen

Ship Full-Stack Product

• Build features across the frontend and backend: React/TypeScript on the front, Node.js or Elixir on the back, Postgres underneath
• Own the full lifecycle from requirements to production
• Debug issues across the entire stack

Stay Close to What Is Live

• Actively observe the production environment: usage patterns, agent failures, edge cases, provider behavior
• This role requires a high degree of personal accountability for system health. When things are running well, that is because you have built the monitoring and alerting to catch problems early. Getting there takes commitment.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a full stack engineer
• Hands-on experience with AI coding agents (Claude Code, OpenClaw, Codex, Cursor, or similar) in a real development workflow
• Strong product instincts: you can take ambiguous user signals and turn them into concrete technical requirements without heavy PM support
• Proficiency with React/TypeScript and at least one backend language (Node.js, Elixir, Ruby on Rails, or similar)
• Experience with Postgres or similar relational databases
• High ownership mentality: you do not wait to be told something is broken
• Clear, direct communication skills, written and verbal

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building or operating agentic workflows in production
• Experience designing feedback loops that improve AI output quality over time
• Background at a startup or high-growth company
• Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, or cloud infrastructure
• Experience with REST or GraphQL API design

What We Are Not Looking For

This is not a 9-to-5 role. At this stage, getting AI agents to ship reliable production code requires close observation of what is actually happening in the codebase. When the system is working well, that monitoring is lightweight and mostly automated. Getting it to that point requires genuine commitment: watching the system, catching failures before they compound, and iterating fast.

We are also not looking for engineers who want to write code in isolation. If enabling non-technical teammates and removing yourself from repetitive engineering work does not sound appealing, this probably is not the right fit.

Position Summary

This role owns the full post-sale lifecycle for Wonderschool’s government and enterprise customers—from implementation through long-term retention and expansion. The Head of Implementation & Customer Success is responsible for ensuring complex deployments are executed successfully, customers achieve measurable outcomes, and the business captures durable, recurring revenue.

Operating as both a strategic leader and hands-on operator, this role builds the systems, playbooks, and team required to scale implementation and customer success across multiple markets. Success in this role directly impacts customer outcomes, product adoption, and long-term contract renewals.

Responsibilities

Own Implementation & Customer Outcomes

• Own end-to-end delivery of government and enterprise implementations, from kickoff through go-live and post-launch success
• Ensure customers achieve defined outcomes, including successful deployment, adoption, and ongoing usage
• Manage complex, multi-stakeholder implementations involving integrations, data migration, and system configuration
• Establish clear success metrics across adoption, retention, and expansion

Build a Scalable Customer Success Engine

• Design and implement repeatable playbooks for onboarding, implementation, and long-term customer success
• Develop systems to monitor customer health, identify risks, and drive proactive engagement
• Build frameworks that improve time-to-value and increase net revenue retention
• Identify opportunities for expansion and deeper customer partnerships

Lead and Scale the Team

• Build and lead a high-performing implementation and customer success organization
• Define roles, hiring plans, and operating structure as the company scales
• Coach and develop team members while maintaining high standards of execution
• Establish clear performance expectations tied to customer and business outcomes

Drive Cross-Functional Execution

• Partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Sales to ensure successful deployments and product alignment

• Advocate for scalable solutions over one-off implementations

Manage Executive Stakeholders

• Build strong relationships with customer leadership and executive stakeholders

Required Qualifications

• 8–12+ years of experience in B2B SaaS post-sales roles (implementation, professional services, or customer success)
• Proven experience leading complex enterprise or government implementations with multiple stakeholders
• Experience building and scaling implementation or customer success teams in high-growth environments
• Strong program management and operational leadership capabilities
• Experience managing long implementation cycles with contractual deliverables and deadlines
• Excellent communication skills, including experience engaging executive stakeholders
• Ability to operate with high ownership in fast-paced, ambiguous environments

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation Range (California):
The base salary range for this role is $180,000 – $220,000, depending on experience, skills, and location. This role may also be eligible for equity and other forms of compensation.
