About the Role

As we continue to expand our presence across Japan, we’re hiring an additional Channel Sales Manager to join our growing local team. This role is a key part of scaling Verkada’s reach in the region through strategic reseller and integration partners.

This role is based in Japan and requires regular travel across the country to support partners, customers, and team initiatives.

In this role, you’ll work alongside our existing Channel Sales Managers to drive pipeline, strengthen partner relationships, and execute initiatives that grow Verkada’s footprint in Japan. What You’ll Do

• Drive Net New Pipeline: Proactively identify and generate pipeline with new end-user customers through strategic reseller partners. Collaborate closely with field sales teams to co-sell and close high-value opportunities across Japan.
• Execute Regional Channel Strategy: Build and manage a focused partner business plan that aligns with Verkada’s overall Japan go-to-market objectives and quarterly sales targets.
• Empower Our Partners: Train and enable partner executives, sales teams, and technical stakeholders on Verkada’s full product portfolio, programs, and campaigns to ensure deep engagement and capability.
• Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work with Verkada’s internal sales, marketing, and pre-sales teams to deliver joint activities such as partner events, demand generation campaigns, and customer-facing initiatives.
• Lead with Insight: Conduct regular QBRs and performance reviews with partners to align on goals, track success, and identify growth opportunities.
• Strengthen the Channel Ecosystem: Influence partner sales teams to prioritise Verkada in key deals and business planning. Share field insights to improve channel programs, tools, and incentives.
• Drive Awareness and Demand: Represent Verkada at regional in-person and virtual events to build brand awareness, strengthen relationships, and grow the partner community in Japan.
• Operate Strategically and Tactically: Own the full lifecycle of partner engagement in Japan—from onboarding and enablement to pipeline development and revenue realization.

What You Bring

• Experience & Success: 5+ years in channel sales or partner management with a strong track record of building new business through security integrators, IT VARs, or related reseller networks. Recognition such as President’s Club is a plus.
• Strategic & Creative Thinking: A structured, process-driven approach complemented by innovative thinking to create scalable, partner-focused initiatives.
• Relationship Builder: Ability to influence and engage across all levels from partner sales reps to executive leadership.
• Technical Fluency: Comfortable in product and operational discussions. Proficiency in Salesforce, Excel, and business intelligence tools.
• Clear Communicator: Strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and professional presence. Native-level Japanese (must have) and intermediate to business-level English.

Verkada’s cloud-based technology is transforming physical security across industries like retail, education, manufacturing, healthcare, and more. In this role, you’ll own the full sales cycle and work closely with both end customers and channel partners to win new business and grow existing accounts. If you have a strong background selling solutions then we want to hear from you. 

• Work Location: Tokyo, Shibuya office - this is primarily an in-office role. Occasional travel may be required for customer engagement or business purposes. 
• Probation Period: The probationary period is 6 months. There is no anticipated change in working conditions during probation.
• Work Hours: Standard working hours are from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, allowing 8 hours of work with a 60-minute lunch break. Working hours and break-time can be adjusted based on business needs.

• At least 2 years of sales experience in a quota-carrying role (experience in Japan’s B2B market preferred).
• Native-level Japanese language skills; intermediate to business-level English is a plus.
• Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, including the ability to navigate and influence complex sales cycles.
• Strong presentation skills and the ability to educate and advise clients in Japan’s unique business culture.
• A proven track record of thriving in fast-paced, competitive, and dynamic environments.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.

About the Role

As a Verkada Field Marketing Manager you are an essential part of the Japan marketing and regional field sales organization. You will define the solutions focus areas, strategic direction and marketing and demand generation needs to create pipeline. You will work with partners to develop a best-in-class ecosystem of security expertise. And you will drive and insure customer success, engagement and loyalty in key accounts across your region.

What You'll Do

• Act as the local representative for marketing in your region
• Work with your Growth lead to develop and plan the overall regional marketing plan to meet customer, demand generation, growth, and revenue objectives for your region. This involves collaborating with sales, external influencers, channel partners, the JAPAC Demand Gen Hub, and your marketing peers.
• Execute best-in-class region and local language campaigns, both direct and with partners. This includes thought leadership, trade shows, lunch & learns, technical hands-on workshops, roundtables, webinars, top account marketing, and other tactics as appropriate.
• Execute account based marketing programs on behalf of sales, and demonstrate to reps how they can execute program elements on their own
• Drive local, high touch, thought leadership and customer executive collaboration and community on the topic of physical security and the cloud. 
• Advise the corporate and in theatre demand generation hub as they develop, plan, execute, and measure supporting, highly impactful demand generation and marketing campaigns
• Work with top partners to develop their overall marketing and customer engagement approach
• Closely track budgets, lead flow and follow-up, and results against goals. Communicate status, action items, results, and deliverables across marketing and sales.

About the Role

As a member of our JAPAC Sales Strategy and Operations team, you will have an integral role in driving the insights, operations, and strategy that enables our JAPAC Sales Region to run better, faster, and smarter as we expand throughout the region. Sales Strategy and Operations is an excellent platform to learn how a business really runs. 

You will be joining the Sales Strategy and Operations team as a high impact contributor, gaining exposure to a wide variety of challenges, processes, and data that makes the engine of this Sales organization hum. As a Manager on the Sales strategy and operations team in JAPAC, you will lead cross-functional initiatives from ideation to analytics to recommendations to drive impact across the sales organization.

We are committed to a thriving in-office culture. This role requires that you be on-site at our office in Tokyo, Japan office 5 days a week.

What You'll Do

• Strategy & reporting: pulling ongoing and ad hoc reporting for weekly / quarterly business reviews, and providing insights to inform business decisions. 
• Strategic planning: work with business stakeholders to develop, implement, and operationalize the sales plan for the JAPAC region. 
• Territories & accounts: drive planning and implementation of new territories to support the expansion of new teams, reps, geographies, and segments. 
• Systems and operations: identifying and implementing improvements in current workflows and processes that can help improve efficiency and visibility - this might be in Salesforce.com or other tools.
• Critical business partner: act as an extension of the existing Sales Strategy and Operations team to provide day to day business support for the JAPAC team on various items such as data, system processes and approval flows. 
• Sales enablement: building programming and content to help new hires get up to speed as quickly as possible, as well as tracking the right effectiveness metrics to see what makes someone a top (or bottom) performer and how we scale those learnings.
• Since we're still in building mode, there's a lot of rolling up your sleeves and getting into the weeds to drive direct impact on a daily basis. We knock out today's problems while also balancing our need to build for the long-term. 
• You’ll be working in Salesforce and Google Sheets / Excel on a daily basis, while also talking frequently with our stakeholders in sales, marketing, ops, product, finance, and more to help troubleshoot systems issues, review insights from our analyses, and build future-state processes and systems.

Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must.
• Flexibility and hustle: you manage change and ambiguity well, and have no problems juggling multiple priorities while executing in a fast-paced environment. You’re comfortable pivoting quickly and often.
• 5+ years of professional experience, ideally in consulting, banking, private equity, corporate strategy, or a startup. Bachelors or masters from a top school preferred.
• Previous experience with Salesforce, Sales Operations & Strategy are a plus.
• Native or fluent in Japanese.
• Must be willing and able to commute 5 days in office.
