Terran Orbital is seeking an experienced Launch System Integration Engineer to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the Mission Operations Manager the Launch System Integration Engineer will be responsible for leading and executing launch vehicle integration for space vehicles, developing launch requirements, performing launch verification and validation and range safety compliance. You will also act as the primary launch liaison between customers, launch providers, and Terran Orbital.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects related to launch segment for specific programs (i.e dispenser/separation system requirements, packaging and shipping space vehicle and launch-related hardware, unpacking hardware at vehicle integration site, and launch integration planning and execution)
- Primary technical POC for launch with multiple disciplines, with customers, and with launch providers
- Coordinate and conduct test campaigns of space vehicle and launch-related hardware
- Write and execute the necessary assembly, integration and test procedures to support the launch integration campaign.
- Work with design and tooling engineers to develop and/or design assembly, integration, or checkout tooling.
- Work closely with members of program teams, technical peers, and operations to ensure the Launch Systems Engineering team and launch integration activities meet all requirements and achieve all milestones.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related technical field
- 2+ years’ experience as aerospace, mechanical, system engineer or similar
- Hands-on experience with payload integration and/or launch integration, or
- Experience with large structure and electrical assembly
- Experience with SSCMAN 91-710 Compliance and MSPSP
- Highly detail-oriented
- Experience effectively communicating with cross-functional teams, external customers, and launch suppliers
- Able to communicate effectively with strong organizational skills
- Must be willing to travel up to 25% for launch site integration support
- Willing to work extended hours and weekends as required
- Willing and able to operate heavy machinery (i.e lifts, overhead cranes)
- U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- Experience with SolidWorks
- Experience with requirement tools such as JAMA and Valispace
- Experience with propellant systems for spacecraft
- Experience with MGSE for structures handling (i.e lift/breakover fixtures, large structure stands)
- Experience with space vehicle separation systems
- Familiarity with GEVS and/or SMC-S-16 testing requirements

Terran Orbital is seeking an experienced Embedded Software & FPGA Manager to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the VP, Components & Modules, the Embedded Software & FPGA Manager will build and lead a multidisciplinary team responsible for developing and sustaining embedded software and FPGA based digital designs across a platform of satellite modules. This leader will also drive the updates and improvements to the full design development process and ensure process and standards are employed.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Own the development and integration of embedded C/C++ software, RTOS-based applications, device drivers and FPGA/SoC design in VHDL/Verilog.
- Define and ensure compliance to engineering standards for code quality, HDL design practices, documentation and configuration management.
- Lead design reviews and technical risk assessments.
- Guide team members through requirements definition, decomposition and verification.
- Ensure on-time delivery aligned with hardware, systems and manufacturing milestones.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- 12+ years of experience in embedded software and/or FPGA development for high-reliability systems.
- 3+ years leading engineering teams or technical programs.
- Strong proficiency in:
- Embedded C/C++, RTOS, bare-metal systems.
- VHDL/Verilog, FPGA toolchains (AMD, Microchip).
- Digital design, timing closure, simulation and verification.
- Communication protocols (SPI, I2C, UART, CAN etc).
- High-speed communication interfaces including Gigabit Ethernet, PCIe, USB and Spacewire.
- Configuring Linux kernel, writing/debugging kernel drivers and managing device trees.
- Knowledgeable in industry standards such as DO-178, DO-254.
- U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain DoD clearance.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- Experience with test equipment including power supply, oscilloscope, and logic analyzer
- Familiarity with mitigation techniques for space radiation effects including ECC, TMR, memory scrubbing, and fault tolerance
- Familiarity with a variety of memory chips - SPI-NAND, SQIF, DRAM, FRAM, SRAM, etc.
- Experienced reading schematics and performing board level DVT with embedded devices.

Terran Orbital is seeking an experienced Inventory Controller to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the Logistics Manager, the Inventory Controller will be responsible for organizing and maintaining the Company’s inventory system while always looking for opportunities to iteratively improve the efficiency of the inventory management process. This individual will support the receiving/logging of parts into inventory, the disbursement of parts exiting inventory, support hardware production kitting, and provide oversight of kitting support personnel. The Inventory Controller is also responsible for providing accounting with accurate reporting of inventory quantities and values in support of external audits.
This role will be on our Weekday shift from Monday - Thursday 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Disburse components in support of production needs
- Material Kitting
- Conduct inventory cycle counting
- Perform daily transactional tasks within the ERP system as they pertain to Inventory
- Maintain accurate transactional data within the ERP System
- Take an active role in the maintenance of accurate stock balances and BOMs (Bill of Material), immediately reporting any discovered discrepancies
- Identify and help implement areas for continuous improvement
- Effectively manage expectations across various functional groups to aid in meeting Company objectives
- Comply with all facility and operational safety and housekeeping regulations

Qualifications and Skills
- 3+ years’ experience working in an inventory control or warehouse environment
- 2+ years’ experience with an ERP and/or WMS system

Reporting to the Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead – Electrical Power Systems (EPS) the Sr. Power Electronics Design Engineer will play a pivotal role in designing cutting edge spacecraft solutions that drive performance, efficiency, and reliability in next-generation power systems. Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Apply innovative design techniques to switched mode power conversion for isolated and non-isolated topologies from Bus voltages of 66V to regulated voltages as low as 0.8V.
- Work in a fast-paced team environment on a variety of R&D, proof of concept, and production programs.
- Power electronics design for switched mode conversion using digital and analog control techniques.
- Design to meet EMI/EMC qualification.
- Well versed in sampling theory and ADC/DAC implementation for feedback and control a plus.
- Circuit and system level modeling and analysis experience using spice, MATLAB, Simulink, or other comparable tools.
- Magnetics design including drawings for manufacture.
- Perform worst case analysis of all circuit implementations showing stability and functional performance over time and environments.
- Documenting designs and proving requirements compliance.
- Schematic capture and board layout experience for power supplies, Altium Designer preferred.
- Laboratory verification and debugging PC boards with power converters for EDU and flight hardware, including system level integration.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- BS degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 5+ years (Sr. Engineer - Level 3) of switched mode power electronics design experience.
- 8+ years (Staff Engineer - Level 4) of switched mode power electronics design experience.
- Working knowledge in the following areas: solar array to battery management systems, bus voltage to lower regulated working voltages, system/board level grounding/shielding and EMC design techniques, motor controller design a plus.
- Radiation hardened and high reliability electronics design experience.
- Experience with EMI/EMC qualification testing per military and commercial standards and (e.g. MIL-STD-461, CRISPR 22, RTCA/DO-160, etc.)..
- Experience in design for harsh environments as embodied in common commercial and military standards (e.g. RTCA/DO-160, MIL-STD-810, etc.).
- Knowledge of device characteristics relevant to power electronics, such as: MOSFET, GaN, SiC, IGBT, BJT, JFET, diodes, various capacitor families, FPGAs, etc.

Summary
Terran Orbital is seeking an experienced Cable & Harness Technician to join our growing team. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the AIT Technician, Cable & Harness will be responsible for testing, troubleshooting, potting, fabricating and repairing flight harnesses and avionics systems. The ideal candidate should possess keen visual acuity and knowledge of quality control and ASO-9100 standards with high attention to detail and organizational skills are critical for this position.
This role is on our Weekday shift (Monday-Thursday) from 6:00AM - 4:30PM
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Use essential tools and test equipment for harness fabrication
- Work under microscope
- CIRRIS testing experience
- Run reports and download for tracking purposes
- Solder, crimp, strip, and fabricate flight harnesses for spacecraft
- Perform quality assurance checkouts on flight harness builds
- Read wire harness schematics, assembly drawings, product-specific documentation, and work instructions
- Utilize quality control methodologies while identifying components for harness fabrication and testing
Qualifications and Skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 to 4 years of experience in harness fabrication
- Experience and skills in operating test equipment used for harness checkouts
- Experience working with epoxy, potting connectors
- IPC-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620 or NASA STD 8739.4 Certification Preferred but not Required
- J-Std 001 certified
- General understanding of electronic components, electronics design, manufacturing, production processes, test equipment, and tools associated with harnessing

Physical Demands
