About the Role:

We seek a highly organized, motivated, and adaptable professional to coordinate administrative activities for Superluminal Medicines (SUN). This role supports the Operations department with all the company’s administrative tasks at our office in Boston, MA. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to the SUN team and assisting with the day-to-day operations of the company.

Responsibilities:

Administrative Support:

• Provide high-level administrative support to executive(s), including calendar management, meeting coordination, travel arrangements, and handling confidential communications"
• Provide comprehensive administrative support to the SUN team, including managing schedules, coordinating meetings, handling travel and logistics 
• Prepare and edit correspondence, reports, presentations, and other documents as needed
• Organize and maintain confidential files and records
• Assist with other administrative duties, special projects and events as needed

On-site Operations:

• Handle all on-site administrative supply ordering, tracking, and distribution
• Coordinate visitor logistics: conference room booking, arrivals, badge creation, parking arrangements, escorting to their meeting location, food ordering/ deliveries, etc.
• Manage team-wide transportation purchasing, reimbursement, and pass creation
• Collect and distribute all mail/packages to appropriate departments
• Oversee daily office operations to ensure a smooth, efficient, and welcoming workplace
• Serve as primary point of contact for office-related inquiries and issues
• Support onboarding and offboarding by coordinating workspace, equipment, and access

Business Operations:

• Collaborate with SUN teams to identify and address administration needs
• File expense reports and keep purchasing records

People Operations:

• Maintain human resource documentation including strategies, policies, and procedures 
• Assist with the process of talent acquisition, onboarding, and employee development initiatives
• Assist with ad-hoc HR projects and tasks as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a scientific field related to SUN’s mission (biology, chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, etc.)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a combination of administration support and operations roles
• Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and work effectively with people at all levels of the organization.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Docs/Sheets/etc.
• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion

About the role: 

Superluminal Medicines, Inc. is seeking an experienced drug discovery scientist who has made the career transition to program management to join our team as Associate Director of Program Management. Superluminal’s platform aims to develop candidate-ready compounds with unprecedented speed using a combination of deep biology, computational and medicinal chemistry, machine learning, and proprietary big data infrastructure. This role will work closely with project teams to manage workflows and track the status of projects within our discovery and early development pipeline. This role is highly integrated across the company and will have a critical role in delivering on the program strategy, making sure projects are executed efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, thrives in a startup environment, and brings deep scientific, drug discovery, and program management experience.

Key responsibilities: 

• Execute a program management process that aligns with the organization's goals and objectives for drug discovery and early development projects
• Work with team members to develop and maintain integrated project plans to support the advancement of projects through the project workflow
• Leverage Smartsheets to track deliverables and timelines and summarize the status of all projects
• Collaborate and communicate cross-functionally to measure and achieve program goals
• Attend project team meetings, capturing meeting notes, key takeaways, and action items

The person that fills this role understands how fundamental and critical compound management is to the experimental data being generated and how important data capture, recording, and communication is to drug discovery.

Key responsibilities: 

• Key business partner to chemistry, biology, and digital data & technology (DDT) groups
• Oversees strategy, roadmaps, and long-term plans of the group

• Manage external CRO relationships and internal compound manager
• Lead the build of internal compound management capabilities
• Collaborate with biology and DDT to:

• Update Smartsheets with compound and mother plate inventories. Monitor inventories and flag compounds for resynthesis as needed.
• Manage and track shipments between CROs and Superluminal.
• Execute internal compound management capabilities:
• Maintain internal inventory
• Receive and evaluate plates for potential issues, flagging to chemistry and biology as appropriate
• Create assay ready plates using in house automation
• Create cherry pick plates from mother plates for follow-up
• Generate QC plates and prepare for shipment or internal analysis

In this role, you will be the algorithmic engine of our programs, developing and deploying state-of-the-art ML models to generate the quantitative predictions necessary to drive drug discovery. Beyond technical mastery, you will serve as a core scientific partner to medicinal chemists, computational chemists, and biologists, building models that move programs efficiently toward Go/No-Go decision points and candidate nomination.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement algorithms for hit identification through virtual screening and other high throughput computational methods as part of a cross-functional team
• Adapt and implement cutting-edge ML architectures for co-folding to augment our extensive internal structural biology expertise and capabilities
• Design and deploy active learning frameworks that utilize experimental assay results to iteratively improve model performance and reduce the number of "Design-Make-Test-Analyze" cycles leveraging state-of-the-art de novo design, ADMET predictions, and affinity predictions

Required Qualifications:

• Ph.D. preferred in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Engineering or a related field, or BS/MS + seasoned experience
• Proven experience with protein-ligand co-folding algorithms (e.g., Boltz, AlphaFold, OpenFold, etc) and the ability to integrate these structural insights into broader ML discovery pipelines.
• Advanced proficiency in Python and deep learning libraries (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow) is required. You must be capable of building and maintaining production-quality code and data pipelines.
• Exceptional ability to communicate the "why" behind a design to a diverse scientific audience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Expert-level knowledge of deep learning frameworks, specifically for affinity prediction, ADMET modeling, and the application of LLMs in a biological or chemical context

• Lead the application of Large Language Models (LLMs), co-folding algorithms, and generative chemistry techniques to design novel chemical matter aimed at hitting key program milestones, such as establishing selectivity windows and optimizing drug-like properties
• ML lead on project teams, collaborating intimately with medicinal chemists to refine SAR and with structural biologists to integrate co-folding and structure-based insights into ML workflows
• Data-Driven Decision Making: Synthesize complex ML outputs into clear, actionable design hypotheses that cross-functional scientific stakeholders can use to make high-stakes program decisions
• May be responsible for management and development of internal team members

Required Qualifications:
