About the team:
SmartAsset operates the largest investor-to-advisor marketplace in the U.S., connecting high-intent investors with vetted financial advisors. We are rebuilding the advisor growth function from the ground up as an AI-native operation — small, high-leverage, and built to compound.

You will report to the Director of Advisor Marketing and work alongside Sales, Sales Operations and Engineering to replace manual marketing work with scalable infrastructure. This is a team for people who think in systems, treat AI as leverage rather than a feature, and want to ship infrastructure that compounds experimentation velocity, lead quality, and pipeline per dollar spent.

About the Job:

Responsibilities:

You will build and operate the systems that drive advisor acquisition, lifecycle automation, and revenue attribution. Using large language models (LLMs), automation, APIs, and data pipelines, you will replace manual marketing work with scalable infrastructure.

Outcomes you will own:
• Advisor Marketing Qualified Lead (MQL) and Sales Accepted Lead (SAL) growth, while holding or improving Cost Per Lead (CPL) and lead quality
• A step-change in experimentation velocity across creative, landing pages, and lifecycle
• Closed-loop attribution from marketing source to closed revenue
• Incremental pipeline unlocked without adding Sales Development Representative (SDR) headcount

Systems you will build:
• AI-native content and campaign generation across ads, email, landing pages, and nurture — with an evaluation layer for brand voice, conversion intent, and SEC/FINRA compliance before anything ships
• Persona segmentation and enrichment pipelines that map inbound leads in real time and personalize outreach, nurture, and sales talking points
• Paid media automation across Google and LinkedIn Ads — bid rules, creative rotation, suppression, budget logic — driven by APIs, not manual operation
• Lifecycle and nurture systems with suppression logic across paid, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), and lifecycle channels
• Multi-touch attribution and a unified marketing–sales performance layer with one trusted view of lead quality, pipeline, and revenue by source and persona
• Agentic workflows that coordinate enrichment, scoring, outreach, and follow-up across CRM, email, and paid platforms

Skills/Experience you have:
• 2–6+ years in growth marketing, marketing engineering, or go-to-market (GTM) engineering, with systems shipped in production
• Fluency with Claude Code, Claude API, and LLM workflow tooling — real systems shipped, not demos
• Strong automation and API skills across tools like n8n, Zapier, and Make, with the judgment to know when to go direct to an API
• Proficiency in SQL and hands-on experience with Salesforce or HubSpot, plus paid platform APIs (Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads)
• Evaluation-first mindset on AI outputs, especially in regulated categories

Skills/Experience preferred:
• Working knowledge of data modeling and comfort operating in a data warehouse, not just a dashboard
• Experience with multi-touch attribution and closed-loop revenue reporting in a business-to-business (B2B) context
• Experience building agentic workflows that coordinate across CRM, email, and paid platforms
• Systems thinking, high execution velocity, and comfort operating independently

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer 
• Must be able to communicate via phone calls and/or video conferences (mainly for concierge and sales roles)

About the Job:

SmartAsset is hiring a Director of Advisor Marketing to own its B2B marketing engine.

We operate one of the largest marketplaces connecting investors with financial advisors. Our next phase of growth requires a high-agency B2B leader who understands the advisor ecosystem deeply: RIAs, broker-dealers, hybrid advisors - and can architect a scalable, modern, AI-native go-to-market motion.

This role owns advisor pipeline growth across direct acquisition, lifecycle automation, firm partnerships and co-marketing initiatives, webinars and events, and multi-channel performance strategy.

You will work directly with executive leadership and partner closely with a GTM Engineer to build systems - not just campaigns.

This is a revenue-owning, systems-building leadership role. You will be hands-on.

Responsibilities: 

• Own advisor pipeline growth targets tied to revenue outcomes
• Develop ICP segmentation across RIAs, hybrid advisors, and broker-dealers
• Craft clear positioning and messaging that resonates with advisors
• Design and oversee multi-channel acquisition strategy (Paid, LinkedIn, outbound, lifecycle)
• Partner with PR to amplify customer success stories and social proof
• Develop scalable partner enablement assets (email sequences, case studies, marketing collateral)
• Own webinar strategy end-to-end, including co-hosted events and post-event pipeline conversion
• Partner with GTM Engineer to automate workflows and standardize AI-driven GTM processes
• Improve MQL → SQL → Revenue conversion through structured experimentation
• Align tightly with sales leadership to ensure marketing drives measurable revenue
• Build and expand co-marketing partnerships

Skills/Experience you have: 

• 5–10+ years marketing to RIAs, broker-dealers, or fintech serving financial advisors
• Deep understanding of advisor psychology, objections, and buying cycles
• Strong command of B2B performance marketing fundamentals (paid, outbound, lifecycle)
• Demonstrated ability to tie marketing programs to pipeline and revenue impact
• Experience leading webinars or event-driven pipeline programs
• Fluency with CRM and marketing automation tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, Marketo, etc.)
• Quantitative orientation and comfortable working with attribution and funnel metrics
• High agency, strong execution velocity, and comfort operating in ambiguity
• Systems thinker who builds scalable processes rather than managing tasks
