Build and operate scalable ML and LLM-based systems in production, with a focus on self-hosted models, evaluation frameworks, and platform reliability. You will help shape Scout24’s AI platform by enabling teams to efficiently develop, deploy, and scale both traditional ML and generative AI solutions for multi-modal use cases.

Working at the intersection of software engineering, ML platform engineering, and product, you ensure ML/LLM applications are robust, observable, and cost-efficient. You establish best practices for LLMOps, including gateway services, MCP integrations, evaluation, and lifecycle management, while leveraging AI-native workflows to drive faster development and higher engineering productivity.

How your role will look like:

• Design and maintain scalable ML/LLM infrastructure and pipelines  
• Productionize traditional ML and generative AI solutions with cross-functional product teams  
• Own the ML/LLMOps lifecycle: prompting, deployment, monitoring, evaluation and optimization  
• Build and evolve an LLM Gateway service to standardize access, routing, and governance  
• Develop evaluation frameworks to measure quality, performance, and reliability of LLM outputs  
• Design and implement MCP-compatible services to enable standardized context exchange between LLMs, tools, and data sources  
• Integrate MCP into internal platforms to support tool use, retrieval, and agent-based workflows across teams 
• Work with AWS and integrate self-hosted open-source AI models for scalable, secure applications  
• Ensure observability, cost efficiency, and system performance 
• Contribute to project management, stakeholder communication and cross-team collaboration 

What you need to succeed:

• Strong experience in MLOps (CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes) and operating production-grade systems
• Proficiency in Python and solid software engineering and scalable system design skills
• Hands-on experience with LLMs and generative AI technologies (e.g. GPT, Gemini or Anthropic-like models) 
• Expertise in prompt engineering, agent orchestration, context management, and output validation
• Experience with LLM evaluation frameworks and deploying self-hosted LLMs
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, GCP) as well as DevOps, testing, and observability practices
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders

Werde Teil des CRM-Teams von ImmoScout24 und unterstütze die Salesforce-User im Vertrieb, Service und Backoffice, die B2B-Kunden betreuen.

The Engineering Manager will lead two mobile app teams building customer-facing Android and iOS applications, with end-to-end ownership of delivery. The role covers technical direction, roadmap planning, stakeholder management, and high-quality execution in close alignment with product and business goals. We're looking for a passionate Senior Engineer, Site Reliability to spearhead our reliability program across the organization and drive a culture where reliability is embedded in our engineering DNA. Reliability & Observability Strategy

• Research, engineer and experiment with new ways to improve our observability platform and tooling
• Design and implement a comprehensive reliability strategy that aligns with business outcomes
• Lead the definition of reliability targets (SLOs) that enable teams to make data-driven decisions
• Guide the technical roadmap for reliability and observability across Scout24
• Advocate for reliability and resiliency as essential components of our product development cycle
• Report key reliability KPIs and metrics to leadership, providing actionable insights on system health and reliability trends

Incident Management Leadership

• Own and continuously improve our incident handling processes and automation
• Foster a blameless culture of learning from incidents across the company
• Lead the definition and implementation of our disaster recovery framework in the cloud

Platform & Tooling Collaboration

• Partner with Platform teams to build observability and reliability tooling
• Foster relationships with product teams to identify pain points and provide impactful solutions
• Help design and implement monitoring solutions that give teams visibility into their systems 
• Experience working with vendors to develop business and technical relationship 
• Lead larger projects with uncertainty and risk, guiding other engineers assigned to your projects

Cultural Transformation & Strategic Leadership

• Help teams understand the reliability of their services and how they can improve it
• Provide technical leadership on reliability to engineers, managers, and product managers
• Raise awareness about how unreliable products can lead to financial or reputational loss
• Support our "you build it you run it" model by mentoring teams on operating resilient systems
• Drive engineering initiatives at the organizational level, representing the reliability perspective in strategic decisions
• Foster cross-departmental collaboration between engineering, product, customer care, and other teams to create a holistic approach to reliability
• Partner with your PM and engineering manager, keeping them informed with technical details across multiple projects
• Set new standards of excellence and drive the platform forward with ideas that maintain quality, reliability, security, and performance

What you need to succeed:

• Significant experience in software engineering with scalable distributed systems (around 8 years preferred, but we value skills over strict timelines)
• Strong SRE background with deep understanding of SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, and observability
• Platform engineering/DevOps expertise and passion for monitoring distributed systems
• Experience with incident management, post-incident analysis, and organizational change
• Experience leveraging AI tools to drive problem-solving and productivity, maintaining effective human oversight and judgement.
• Data-driven mindset that uses metrics to evaluate engineering decisions

As a Senior Platform Engineer in the Cloud Infrastructure in our Application Platform organization, you will shape, build and maintain a scalable, reliable and state-of-the-art compute platform for the Scout24 product development teams. Our platform supports various networking, persistence and compute requirements for all Scout24 applications and provides seamless capabilities and integrations for our internal developers. You will also get the opportunity to develop and integrate observability services that will help our engineers gain valuable insights into their applications.

We are transforming the technology foundation of Germany's leading real estate valuation platform. As we explore the role of AI and intelligent automation of our product landscape, we are looking for a curious, technically sharp working student to help us turn our hypotheses into evidence and to test our early prototypes and help us scale.


What are we looking for in you?

You will build and test proof of concepts that help us answer specific architectural and product questions - things like :

• can this use case be supported by AI?
• What LLMs work better for our solution?
• What happens when the solution encounters something it did not expect?
• How can I validate and set gold standards for model rating?
