• roll up your sleeves when it comes to goods receiving, inspection, and storage, always keeping an eye on the perfect mise-en-place according to our setups and standards
• share your insider tips with our guests, pointing them to the best hotspots in the city

We've been waiting for you, since you have/are: 

• ideally gained some experience in the hotel industry, don’t worry if you don’t know what "mise-en-place" means yet 😉
• flexible and ready to work in shifts
• counting reliability, multitasking and your willingness to learn among your strengths
• empathetic with others and love sharing your enthusiasm with those around you
• a great sense of humour, enjoy working in a team, and love interacting with our guests
• speaking fluent English, Dutch is a plus

• handle the end-of-day closing with care, ensuring everything runs smoothly and stays on track

• a true night owl, who enjoys working primarily at night and in shifts, while always keeping everything under control

Due to location it's not only just a stone's throw away from the trendy De Pijp district with its numerous bars and restaurants, it also only takes a five-minute stroll from the banks of the Amstel and pretty Park Somerlust. Taking our lead from the mariners who tacked their sails to harness the wind on the river’s tight turns, Emma’s all about using the power of nature and green energy runs through Emma’s veins.

• lead your team on eye level, fostering both professional and personal development through coaching and regular feedback sessions, while creating a positive team atmosphere as a role model
• ensure effective duty and holiday schedules as well as smooth work processes, like to think ‘out of the box’ and critically questioning existing processes
• take charge of daily operations, roll up your sleeves and actively join in, lead briefings, and demonstrate what exceptional service truly means
• live the Ruby Spirit and take care of the execution of our internal styles and quality standards
• support your Hotel Manager in recruiting the best talents and thus build a strong team
• handle monthly closings, inventories, invoice control, payroll preparations, and regular orders for F&B and operating supplies (SOE)
• ensure that everything is in order and monitor compliance with HACCP, occupational safety, fire protection, other legal regulations
• ensure that our guests feel completely at home and are willing to revisit by collecting, analysing and responding to guest feedback, concerns or complaints and finding creative and charming solutions

We've been waiting for you, since you have/are:

• completed professional training in the hotel industry and/or hold a degree in hospitality or business administration
• experience in an operational leadership role or a similar position in lifestyle hospitality or gastronomy
• good knowledge of POS, PMS, and business management.
• a motivating and charismatic leader and with your authentic and loyal nature both team lead and team player
• a warm and welcoming personality and your communication skills allow you to shine in every interaction
• a knack for charming guests, with a hands-on mentality to match
• fluent in Dutch and English
