ABOUT THE ROLE
The Peloton Systems Engineering Team is looking for a creative Firmware Engineer to build the next generation of industry-leading fitness technology. In this role, you’ll be the bridge between high-level applications and register-level drivers, serving as a key contributor in a multidisciplinary team. You won't just write code; you'll influence the entire product lifecycle—from conceptual brainstorming to production-ready hardware—integrating AI/ML techniques to push the boundaries of system quality and maintainability.
YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON
- Craft high-performance firmware for bare-metal and embedded OS environments, ensuring seamless integration between custom hardware and Android services
- Implement robust device-to-cloud communication (MQTT, CoAP, HTTP) and manage wireless stacks including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Thread
- Safeguard our products by implementing encryption, secure boot, and secure firmware updates to protect user data and device authenticity
- Develop custom tools for software, hardware, and QA teams, conducting rigorous unit tests and automated scripts to ensure flawless functionality
- Utilize logic analyzers, JTAG probes, and oscilloscopes to diagnose and resolve complex firmware issues in production environments
- Partner with Project Managers in Agile/Scrum settings to define requirements, architect software solutions, and plan high-impact sprints
- Drive excellence through active participation in product design reviews, code reviews, and detailed documentation
- Contribute to broad-scale brainstorming sessions and communicate technical progress clearly to both internal teams and external stakeholders
YOU BRING TO PELOTON
- 4+ years of professional firmware development, specifically with ARM Cortex-M or similar low-power platforms
- Mastery of C programming, RTOS environments (FreeRTOS, Zephyr), and multithreaded programming
- Deep understanding of communication standards like UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, and USB, alongside networking and wireless concepts
- Expert-level familiarity with Git-based workflows (Gerrit, GitHub) and a keen interest in leveraging AI-driven tools to boost code quality
- While C is your home, you have functional skills (or an interest) in Java, Kotlin, Bash, or Python
- A proactive, detail-oriented approach with the curiosity to master new technologies as project needs evolve
- The ability to translate complex technical challenges into actionable insights for the wider team
- A degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience in the field

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position based at our Woodinville, WA headquarters. The actual base salary offered for this position will depend on numerous factors including, without limitation, experience and business objectives and if the location for the job changes. ABOUT THE ROLE
The Hardware Test Engineer will be working with the Peloton Hardware Design and Operations teams to lead our new product qualification testing and on-going reliability testing in a fast-growing global fitness business. You will lead Projects, troubleshoot, innovate, and make decisions to help Peloton ensure quality and safety as we continue to innovate our product offerings. You are an individual who is independent, highly motivated, super organized, hyper-flexible and enjoys working in a collaborative team environment to improve product quality.
YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON
- Build and maintain test plans for new product development and sustaining engineering activities
- Perform product validation and verification with off-the-shelf testing equipment as well as custom built machinery
- Design, build, and automate custom test rigs/fixtures to interact with various pieces of exercise equipment
- Write test reports
- Correspond with external team with test reports and status updates
- Attend morning/evening calls depending on the need.
- Provide technical support to technicians for various testing activities
- Use six sigma tools for root cause/failure analysis
- Work multi-functionally with other departments and prioritize work queues
- Supervise and implement test processes and data flow
- Ensure safety protocols are followed
- Aid in construction of and maintain lab equipment
YOU BRING TO PELOTON
- 2+ years of relevant work experience
- Education and/or equivalent work experience in Mechanical Engineering - M.S. preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- National Instruments LabVIEW certification preferred (CLAD, CLD, CLA)
- Six sigma certification preferred
- 3D Modeling (Solidworks)
- Statistical Analysis (Python, R, Minitab)
- Automation Skills (LabVIEW)
- PLC programming experience is a plus
- Ability to read/create mechanical drawings
- Strong communications skills

As a Trade Compliance Senior Analyst, you will play an integral part in executing Peloton’s Customs policies and procedures, with a primary focus on compliance with US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) regulations. Reporting to Peloton’s Senior Manager, Trade Compliance, you will oversee the Customs brokers of Peloton’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Precor Inc, ensuring timely, accurate and compliant payments of import tariffs, and generally maintain and strengthen Precor’s “reasonable care” controls.
The ideal candidate for this role is a Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) who challenges themself to continuously improve Precor’s global trade compliance program, partnering cross-functionally with a variety of stakeholders (external service providers, Sourcing, Purchasing, Transportation, Product, Legal and Finance).
YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON
- Oversee, measure and audit the accuracy and timeliness of Precor’s Customs brokers in the US and Canada, with occasional support to Precor’s EMEA and APAC markets
- Conduct regular audits of Precor’s import data and duty payments, utilizing CBP’s ACE and CBSA’s CARM portals
- Assign global Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) Classifications for Precor’s new SKUs and product lines
- Inform Precor’s global sourcing strategies for new manufacturing and distributing locations
- Assist in the development and execution of Precor’s value reconciliation and duty drawback programs
- Maintain timely and complete Customs recordkeeping for Precor’s global imports and exports
- Conduct Denied Party Screening (DPS) in Precor’s Global Trade Management (GTM) tool
- Assist in the creation and continuous improvement of Precor’s global trade compliance SOPs and policies
- Proactively monitor and raise new trade compliance policy developments that have the potential to impact the business
- Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of relevant experience working for an importer, Customs broker and/or trade consultancy
- Comprehensive knowledge of Customs regulations (including recent US tariff stacking rules), the Harmonized Tariff Schedule, and CBP’s value reconciliation and duty drawback programs
- Customs Broker License (LCB) is strongly preferred
- Experience with SAP and ThomsonReuters ONESOURCE GTM is a plus
- Problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally across a variety of stakeholders to influence outcomes

- Design and Development: Design and develop electrical systems and circuits for new and existing Peloton products, including consumer electronics, motor controls, power supplies, and sensor integration.
- Testing and Validation: Conduct rigorous testing and validation of electrical designs to ensure they meet performance, reliability, and safety standards (e.g., UL, CE, FCC). This involves debugging hardware, analyzing test data, and implementing design changes as needed.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineering, firmware, software, and industrial design, to integrate electrical systems seamlessly into the final product.
- Manufacturing Support: Collaborate with our manufacturing partners to ensure designs are manufacturable, and provide support during production ramp-up.
- Innovation: Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and continuous improvement in our products.
YOU BRING TO PELOTON
Education: A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
Experience: 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with a strong background in power systems, power supplies, and consumer electronics development.
Technical Skills:
- Deep understanding of power systems, AC and DC motors, and line-connected appliance designs.
- Strong experience in both internal and joint development work, working with overseas JDM and CM partners.
- Understanding of regulatory requirements, including design for UL and CE safety and EMC requirements.
- Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB layout tools.
- Experience with microcontroller-based system design.
- Hands-on experience with lab equipment, such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analyzers, and motor test equipment.
Travel:
- This role requires 4–6 trips annually, involving both domestic and international travel to Asia and Mexico
Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
