Peloton Interactive, Inc. seeks Security Engineer - Incident Response in New York City, NY.
Job Duties: Directly support Peloton’s Security Program while conducting in-depth research and strategic analysis of intelligence data from various sources to leverage in threat hunting. Stay up to date with relevant vulnerabilities, threat actors, indicators of compromise (IOCs) tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), and trends, identifying actionable areas of interest and threats. Provide intel-driven insights into existing and emerging threats, use insights to search Peloton enterprise for activity that is anomalous and/or malicious. Work with Security Engineering and the Security Operations Center to baseline user behaviors and events as well as build out new detections and response workflows. Provide triage support for incident response and investigation efforts as part of Peloton’s Security and Operations team and other internal teams. Recommend and build countermeasures based on threat analysis, intelligence, and forecasting. Develop, implement, and maintain security incident playbooks/runbooks. Prepare and present analysis with findings and recommendations in the form of briefings, reports, and dashboards to managers, various team leads and senior leadership as required. Part-time telecommuting is an option. Hybrid work from Peloton Interactive offices in New York, NY. Salary: $146,557.00 to $194,775.00
Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Informatics, Computer and Information Technology, Engineering (any field), or a related quantitative discipline, and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in any occupation in related field.
Special Skill Requirements: One year of experience in the following: (1) Cloud Workload protection, (2) Cloud Native application protection platform; (3) Cloud Security Posture Management; (4) Threat modeling; (5) OWASP top 10; (6) BURP Suite; (7) SAST; (8) Software Composition Analysis; (9) API Security; (10) code reviews; (11) Kubernetes Security; (12) Web Application Firewall (WAF); (13) ELK Stack; (14) Splunk. Salary: $146,557.00 to $194,775.00 per annum.

As a Trade Compliance Senior Analyst, you will play an integral part in executing Peloton’s Customs policies and procedures, with a primary focus on compliance with US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) regulations. Reporting to Peloton’s Senior Manager, Trade Compliance, you will oversee the Customs brokers of Peloton’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Precor Inc, ensuring timely, accurate and compliant payments of import tariffs, and generally maintain and strengthen Precor’s “reasonable care” controls.
The ideal candidate for this role is a Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) who challenges themself to continuously improve Precor’s global trade compliance program, partnering cross-functionally with a variety of stakeholders (external service providers, Sourcing, Purchasing, Transportation, Product, Legal and Finance).
YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON
- Oversee, measure and audit the accuracy and timeliness of Precor’s Customs brokers in the US and Canada, with occasional support to Precor’s EMEA and APAC markets
- Conduct regular audits of Precor’s import data and duty payments, utilizing CBP’s ACE and CBSA’s CARM portals
- Assign global Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) Classifications for Precor’s new SKUs and product lines
- Inform Precor’s global sourcing strategies for new manufacturing and distributing locations
- Assist in the development and execution of Precor’s value reconciliation and duty drawback programs
- Maintain timely and complete Customs recordkeeping for Precor’s global imports and exports
- Conduct Denied Party Screening (DPS) in Precor’s Global Trade Management (GTM) tool
- Assist in the creation and continuous improvement of Precor’s global trade compliance SOPs and policies
- Proactively monitor and raise new trade compliance policy developments that have the potential to impact the business
- Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of relevant experience working for an importer, Customs broker and/or trade consultancy
- Comprehensive knowledge of Customs regulations (including recent US tariff stacking rules), the Harmonized Tariff Schedule, and CBP’s value reconciliation and duty drawback programs
- Customs Broker License (LCB) is strongly preferred
- Experience with SAP and ThomsonReuters ONESOURCE GTM is a plus
- Problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset
- Excellent written and verbal communication

ABOUT THE ROLE
The Senior Director, Technical Product Safety & Regulatory Compliance leads Peloton’s global Technical Product Safety organization, ensuring our products meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance—while delivering exceptional member experiences.
This role is accountable for defining and executing a comprehensive global product safety and regulatory compliance strategy aligned with Peloton’s long-term growth objectives. The Senior Director will shape organizational design, manage budgets, and drive continuous improvement, building scalable processes and systems that enable innovation across Peloton’s connected fitness portfolio.
Partnering closely with leaders across Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain Operations, Product Management, Member Support, Customer Experience, and other cross-functional teams, this role serves as a trusted advisor and technical authority on all product safety matters. This position reports directly to the VP, Global Quality and Product Safety & Regulatory Compliance.
YOUR IMPACT AT PELOTON
- Serve as the senior technical authority and escalation leader for product safety investigations, incidents, and member-impacting events in close partnership with cross-functional teams
- Lead the Product Investigation Council, ensuring timely, rigorous, and data-driven decision-making
- Proactively identify, assess, prioritize, and mitigate product safety risks across the product portfolio
- Define and implement the vision, strategy, and operating model for a comprehensive Global Technical Product Safety and Regulatory Compliance program
- Partner with Quality, Operations, Engineering, Product Management, and Customer Experience leaders to ensure end-to-end product safety and compliance across the full product lifecycle
- Establish governance frameworks to monitor product safety risks, define corrective actions, and lead technical investigations
- Ensure all critical product safety processes are clearly defined, documented, and operating in a sustained state of control
- Build and sustain a closed-loop problem-solving system emphasizing root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying systemic product, process, and organizational improvement opportunities
- Define and execute product safety and regulatory compliance priorities aligned with business objectives
- Coordinate and deploy resources to support escalations, investigations, and remediation efforts
- Review, approve, and guide changes to products, processes, and documentation that may impact product safety
- Represent Peloton in external standards and regulatory forums, including UL, EN, ASTM, and other relevant bodies
- Maintain deep expertise in global product safety regulations, standards, certifications, and compliance requirements applicable to connected fitness and consumer products
YOU BRING TO PELOTON
- 7+ years of leadership experience in Product Safety, Regulatory Compliance and/or Quality
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (advanced degree preferred)
- Proven experience leading global, cross-functional teams across multiple products, regions, and stakeholders
- 5+ years of experience in consumer goods (B2C) environments
- Demonstrated success developing and executing product safety and regulatory compliance strategies at scale
- Strong expertise in structured problem-solving methodologies, including 8D and similar tools
- Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with the ability to align cross-functional leaders and present effectively to executive stakeholders
- Sound judgment and the ability to navigate complex, high-impact decisions in fast-paced environments
- Experience in fitness, connected devices, or consumer electronics industries is a plus
- Familiarity with product risk management, regulatory reporting, and agency engagement (e.g., CPSC, EU Safety Gate/RAPEX, or similar authorities) is a plus
- Experience partnering with external manufacturers, suppliers, and testing laboratories to ensure compliance and continuous improvement is a plus
- Strong understanding of Design for Safety principles, hazard analysis methodologies (e.g., FMEA, fault tree analysis), and risk-based decision-making is a plus

The Senior Director, Technical Product Safety & Regulatory Compliance leads Peloton’s global Technical Product Safety organization, ensuring our products meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance—while delivering exceptional member experiences.
This role is accountable for defining and executing a comprehensive global product safety and regulatory compliance strategy aligned with Peloton’s long-term growth objectives. The Senior Director will shape organizational design, manage budgets, and drive continuous improvement, building scalable processes and systems that enable innovation across Peloton’s connected fitness portfolio.
Partnering closely with leaders across Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain Operations, Product Management, Member Support, Customer Experience, and other cross-functional teams, this role serves as a trusted advisor and technical authority on all product safety matters. This position reports directly to the VP, Global Quality and Product Safety & Regulatory Compliance.
YOUR IMPACT AT PELOTON
- Serve as the senior technical authority and escalation leader for product safety investigations, incidents, and member-impacting events in close partnership with cross-functional teams
- Lead the Product Investigation Council, ensuring timely, rigorous, and data-driven decision-making
- Proactively identify, assess, prioritize, and mitigate product safety risks across the product portfolio
- Define and implement the vision, strategy, and operating model for a comprehensive Global Technical Product Safety and Regulatory Compliance program
- Partner with Quality, Operations, Engineering, Product Management, and Customer Experience leaders to ensure end-to-end product safety and compliance across the full product lifecycle
- Establish governance frameworks to monitor product safety risks, define corrective actions, and lead technical investigations
- Ensure all critical product safety processes are clearly defined, documented, and operating in a sustained state of control
- Build and sustain a closed-loop problem-solving system emphasizing root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying systemic product, process, and organizational improvement opportunities
- Define and execute product safety and regulatory compliance priorities aligned with business objectives
- Coordinate and deploy resources to support escalations, investigations, and remediation efforts
- Review, approve, and guide changes to products, processes, and documentation that may impact product safety
- Represent Peloton in external standards and regulatory forums, including UL, EN, ASTM, and other relevant bodies
- Maintain deep expertise in global product safety regulations, standards, certifications, and compliance requirements applicable to connected fitness and consumer products
YOU BRING TO PELOTON
- 7+ years of leadership experience in Product Safety, Regulatory Compliance and/or Quality
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (advanced degree preferred)
- Proven experience leading global, cross-functional teams across multiple products, regions, and stakeholders
- 5+ years of experience in consumer goods (B2C) environments
- Demonstrated success developing and executing product safety and regulatory compliance strategies at scale
- Strong expertise in structured problem-solving methodologies, including 8D and similar tools
- Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with the ability to align cross-functional leaders and present effectively to executive stakeholders
- Sound judgment and the ability to navigate complex, high-impact decisions in fast-paced environments
- Experience in fitness, connected devices, or consumer electronics industries is a plus
- Familiarity with product risk management, regulatory reporting, and agency engagement (e.g., CPSC, EU Safety Gate/RAPEX, or similar authorities) is a plus
- Experience partnering with external manufacturers, suppliers, and testing laboratories to ensure compliance and continuous improvement is a plus
- Strong understanding of Design for Safety principles, hazard analysis methodologies (e.g., FMEA, fault tree analysis), and risk-based decision-making is a plus
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position based at our New York City headquarters. Peloton is looking to transform our enterprise tech strategy with AI adoption. We are looking for a Staff Enterprise AI Engineer to serve as the "Founding Engineer" of our Enterprise AI Platform.This is not a traditional Data Science role. You will not spend your days tweaking hyperparameters. Instead, you will architect and build the Operating System that enables our Product, People, and Operations teams to deploy AI Agents safely and at scale. You will act as a "Player/Coach," laying the technical foundation (Infrastructure, Security, Orchestration) while guiding a team of engineers to execute the vision. You will build the "Golden Path" that helps everyone at Peloton to leverage AI securely for the competitive advantage of Peloton.
YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON
- Architect the "Intelligence & Integration" Layers
- Design and build a scalable Agentic Orchestration Platform (using LangChain, LangGraph, or custom frameworks) that allows internal developers to spin up autonomous agents.
- Implement the "Integration Layer" ensuring all AI agents connect to internal APIs (Workday, Snowflake, SAP) via secure, standardized protocols (Model Context Protocol - MCP).
- Solve the "State Problem" for AI, architecting memory stores (Vector DBs like Pinecone/Weaviate) that persist context across user sessions.
- Enforce "Security by Design"
- Partner with Security leadership to implement Identity Propagation. Ensure agents execute tasks using the user’s specific OAuth scopes, preventing privilege escalation.
- Build "Data Clean Rooms" and PII masking pipelines to ensure sensitive member or employee data is never leaked to model providers.
- Deploy EvalOps pipelines to automatically test models for hallucination and regression before they hit production
- Define the Engineering Standards
- Define the "Guide vs. Control" standards for the organization. Create the templates and libraries that allow analysts to "Vibe Code" (low-code/assisted coding) safely within our guardrails.
- Perform rigorous code reviews for partner teams and vendors, ensuring high performance, low latency (<200ms), and cost efficiency
- Capital-Efficient Scale
- Optimization of inference costs by implementing Semantic Caching and routing logic (e.g., routing simple queries to smaller/cheaper models).
- Leverage Kubernetes (EKS) to manage ephemeral compute resources for AI workloads.
- A Systems Builder: You view AI as a distributed systems problem. You care about latency, rate limiting, and eventual consistency just as much as you care about prompt engineering.
- A Pragmatist: You don't build "Science Projects." You build tools that solve specific business frictions (e.g., automating Content PR approvals or speeding up Supply Chain queries).
- A Force Multiplier: You enjoy mentoring senior engineers and demystifying AI for non-technical stakeholders (from HR to Product).
YOU BRING TO PELOTON
- Experience: 10+ years of software engineering experience, with 3+ years specifically focused on MLOps, LLM Orchestration, or Large Scale Distributed Systems.
- The Stack: Deep fluency in Python (production grade) and Go (preferred for platform services).
- AI Engineering: Proven experience deploying RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation) and Agentic Workflows in production. Experience with frameworks like LangChain, Semantic Kernel, or similar.
- Platform Engineering: Strong background in Kubernetes (EKS), Docker, and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform).
- Security: Solid understanding of OAuth 2.0 (OBO flow), RBAC, and zero-trust networking principles.
- Communication: Ability to explain complex technical trade-offs (e.g., "Latency vs. Accuracy") to executive stakeholders.

- Experience implementing Model Context Protocol (MCP) or similar standardized tool interfaces.
- Background in FinOps (managing GPU/Cloud spend).
