As the Senior Civil Engineer, you will hold a senior leadership role within our team, providing crucial technical support. You will serve as the lead engineer on complex projects, utilizing your high-level technical expertise in engineering design. Ensuring the highest quality standards, you will execute QA/QC plans for the team's projects and elevate technical expertise by mentoring and training team members in technical design aspects. Additionally, you will play an advisory role on challenging projects, provide project management support when needed, and maintain quality control by conducting thorough checks on plans and deliverables.

• Strong communication skills.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of 10 years of related Civil Engineering experience.
• Registered as a Professional Engineer (PE) with at least four years of experience supervising technical personnel.

• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D.

We’re looking for a motivated professional who is open to being based out of or relocating to Manhattan, KS.  The Project Manager role serves as a lead project manager for the team, ensuring successful project deliverables and completion for complex and high-priority projects that may span across multiple teams. This position provides project management direction to the team and ensures quality execution of key projects that provide purposeful, high-quality solutions to successfully solve engineering and design needs.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Develops project scopes, schedules, and budgets and tracks progress to manage the financial success of projects and ensure timely completion.
• Manages complex contract negotiations.
• Leads the execution of project plans by assembling and managing project teams, coordinating availability of internal resources, and assigning individual responsibilities ensuring technical skills, capabilities, and expertise align with project objectives.
• Monitors progress and measures project performance, ensuring deliverables fall within established scope, schedule, and budget.
• Manages change requests, executes risk management techniques, and implements strategies to minimize negative financial impact to the project.
• Coordinates detailed reviews of technical work to ensure high-quality work is being performed and the terms, conditions, and specifications outlined in the project contract are being fulfilled.
• Maintains an ongoing positive relationship with clients and focuses on exceptional client service to secure future work.
• Documents all project deliverables and maintains comprehensive records including correspondence, design plans, and other project related files.
• Mentors staff within the team on project management best practices utilizing Olsson Project Management programs and other project support services resources.

Our construction services include daily observation / inspection, project documentation, submittal review, design support, shop drawing review, payment application review, payroll review, and oversight for materials testing. We provide technically qualified personnel for our clients’ specific project requirements.

As a Construction Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the success of diverse construction projects that include roadways, utility infrastructure, and water/sewer distribution systems. Your responsibilities will extend to interpreting project specifications and plans across various disciplines, inspecting and coordinating inspection of construction work, coordinating schedules, verifying projects are completed per the project documents, and overseeing projects of various complexity. Working collaboratively with experienced construction managers and engineers, you will be instrumental in driving projects to successful completion. Your role ensures not only the efficient execution of tasks but also contributes to the overall excellence and success of each project, reflecting your commitment to quality in construction management.

You will travel to various job sites at different stages of construction and work in all types of terrain and weather conditions.

We have one position available and will consider candidates being located out of Western Kansas (Garden City, Dodge City, Hays, and Liberal) or Flint Hills region (Manhattan, Junction City, Emporia, Wamego, etc.), Topeka, or Kansas City. 

This position includes:
