Responsibilities

• Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, resources, and risk management strategies.
• Team Management: Recruit, assemble, and manage project teams, including subcontractors and vendors. Manage tasks and ensure clear communication among team members.
• Budget Management: Develop and maintain project budgets, track expenses, and implement cost-control measures to ensure projects stay within budgetary constraints.
• Schedule Management: Create project schedules, monitor progress, identify potential delays, and implement strategies to keep the project on track and meet deadlines.
• Quality Control: Establish quality standards, conduct inspections, and implement quality control measures to ensure that work meets specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans to minimize their impact on the project. This includes assessing safety hazards, legal liabilities, and financial risks.
• Procurement: Manage procurement processes, including obtaining bids from subcontractors and suppliers, negotiating contracts, and overseeing the purchasing of materials and equipment.
• Stakeholder Communication: Maintain regular communication with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, regulatory agencies, and community members, to provide updates and address concerns.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, develop safety plans, conduct safety meetings, and enforce safety protocols to create a safe working environment for all project participants.
• Documentation and Reporting: Keep detailed records of project activities, including contracts, change orders, correspondence, and meeting minutes. Prepare regular progress reports and updates for stakeholders.

Qualifications 

• Working knowledge of all aspects of construction and industry practices, processes, standards, and their impact on project activities
• Ability to multi-task, collaborate with others, set priorities, and take initiative.
• Demonstrated success leading a team through complex project execution.
• Experience managing and leading field-level staff and holding the accountable to project goals.
• Excellent organizational, verbal, written, and presentation skills are a must. Bilingual a plus
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• 10+ years of relative experience
• 5+ years’ Project Management experience in construction required.

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CM, Engineering, or relevant field.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates directly with the Project Manager and Project Superintendent to support project success, including fostering a positive safety and quality culture
• Mentors and develop Field Engineers
• Champions cost management, forecasting and control, including issuance of purchase orders, subcontract agreements, change orders, etc.
• Champions the procurement of all materials and equipment associated within their assigned scope, including all submittals, and ensures compliance with the project requirements
• Champions the procurement schedule and participates in overall project schedule development and forecasting
• Assists the Project Manager with resolving commercial matters with owners, subcontractors and suppliers, as well as pricing owner change orders
• Ensures the Field Engineer possesses the most current project documents, including drawings, specifications, submittals, requests for information (RFIs), etc.
• Champions construction permit applications and renewals, as required by the project
• Actively participates in daily and weekly project meetings
• Generates weekly production reports and champions weekly productivity meetings
• Reviews and processes subcontractor and supplier invoices
• Generates monthly project progress reports for the Project Manager’s review
• Assists the Project Manager with assembling monthly owner payment applications
• Develops and preserves a positive business relationship with owners, clients, engineers and trade partners while ensuring contractual compliance with all parties

Responsibilities

• Coordinates directly with Project Engineers and Field Superintendents to support project field operations, including safety and quality – approximately 80% of the Field Engineer’s time will be spent in the field within their assigned area(s).
• Survey / layout to support quality and accurate installations, including lift drawings.
• Actively participates in RMCI and project-specific quality control program(s)
• Actively participates in daily and weekly project meetings.
• Ensures Field Superintendents and Foremen have access to current Contract Documents (drawings/specifications), Submittals, RFIs, Shop Drawings, etc.
• Promptly reports field issues to the Project Engineer and Field Superintendent
• Track and report weekly quantities of installed materials and equipment.
• Equipment and/or material storage and maintenance management
• Maintain accurate record drawings / as-builts, per contract requirements.
• Permit document maintenance (Dust Control, SWPPP, etc.)
• Gather weekly project progress photos.
• Train and mentor Interns and new Field Engineers.
• Develops rapport with owners, clients, engineers, and trade partners while ensuring contractual compliance with all parties.

We are seeking a Director of Construction to support some of the most innovative, complex, and large-scale data center and mission-critical construction projects in the country. This role will be instrumental in delivering RMCI’s first-generation programs as a General Contractor within hyperscale and enterprise data center environments. The Director will drive overall program performance across safety, quality, schedule, cost, and client satisfaction while leading high-performing project and field teams in a mission-critical environment.

Responsibilities

• Has overall responsibility for execution of a multi-project data center construction program, including alignment with RMCI culture and Core Values, and full accountability for safety, quality, schedule, client satisfaction, and profitability across the campus.
• Owns program-level P&L across multiple concurrent projects, including forecasting, cost control, risk mitigation, and margin performance.
• Leads, mentors, and develops field leadership teams to ensure consistent execution standards and succession planning across the program.
• Responsible for understanding prime contract terms and conditions, contract documents, subcontract agreements, purchase order agreements, etc.
• Develops and manages project execution with Project Managers and Project Superintendents for the successful execution of the work.
• Lead coordination of the means and methods, manpower, equipment, and material resources required to accomplish goals.
• Participates in business development proposals and presentations.
• Oversees development and integration of program-level schedules across all projects, including design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and turnover, ensuring alignment with client milestones.
• Ensures project team is communicating and coordinating the project schedule with all subcontractors, suppliers and stakeholders, as needed for the project.
• Ensures the project teams identifies the most efficient/effective flow of work to maintain highest production for all trades while maintaining all safety and quality standards.

Qualifications 

• 15+ years of construction experience, with 5+ years in a senior leadership role (Director, Senior PM, or equivalent)
• Proven experience leading large-scale, multi-project programs (preferably $500M+ total value)
• Strong background in mission-critical, data center, industrial, or large-scale infrastructure projects
• Strong understanding of managing partnerships with regulatory bodies such as the city, county, state, EPA, etc.
• Extensive industry networking background
• Proficiency with Primavera (P6) scheduling software
• Outward leadership presence
• Possesses excellent organizational, verbal, written and presentation skills

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Construction Management / Engineering and a minimum of 10 years of relative construction experience
• Extensive relative construction experience will be considered in lieu of formal education.
