As a key technical leader in the region, you will operationalize the technical strategy to drive growth, expansion, and continued success. Reporting to the VP of Customer Advocacy, you will be responsible for the day-to-day technical execution of the business. We are looking for a leader who is passionate about coaching talent, scaling revenue, and establishing deep technical trust with our customers. This role requires a strong understanding of the APJ market, the ability to bridge global strategy with local cultural nuances, and a commitment to excellence.

What You’ll Do

• Operationalize Market Strategy: Execute a APJ-specific go-to-market strategy that aligns with global objectives and local market demands.
• Drive Revenue Growth: Partner closely with Sales leadership to drive new customer acquisition and platform expansion. You will be responsible for ensuring technical teams deliver against sales targets, NRR, and ARR goals.
• Leadership & Coaching: Lead and mentor a high-performing team of technical professionals. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning that reflects business values.
• Stakeholder Relationships: Cultivate relationships with technical leaders and key stakeholders at major accounts, acting as a trusted advisor and ensuring New Relic’s value proposition is realized.
• Platform Adoption: Drive value-led interactions to ensure sustainable platform usage. Help customers mature their observability practices and instrument business-critical applications to maximize their ROI.
• Technical Excellence: Maintain high standards for technical delivery, ensuring the team provides compelling "Points of View" and high-quality technical demonstrations/proofs of value.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with Product, Engineering, and Global Support to advocate for the specific needs and product requirements of the market.
• Partner Support: Support the partner ecosystem by aligning technical resources to drive success through our strategic partners.

The Skills You’ll Bring

• Experience: 12+ years of experience in technical sales, solution consulting, or customer success, with at least 5–7 years in people management (leading managers or high-level individual contributors).
• Proven Leadership: A track record of leading technical teams, with a focus on achieving revenue growth and operational excellence.
• Sales Alignment: Strong understanding of sales methodologies (e.g., MEDDPICC) and experience partnering with enterprise sales teams to close complex deals.
• Technical Acumen: Strong background in cloud computing (AWS, Azure, GCP) and observability. Familiarity with AI (Generative, Ops, Agentic), ITSM, DevOps, SRE, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Consumption Model Experience: Experience working within a Software Consumption-based business model is highly preferred.
• Communication: Excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

New Relic is currently seeking a Director of Channel and Alliances to join our APJ Alliances & Channels Team! The A&C organisation owns all partner relationships, identifies how to engage with varying types of partners, how to identify and close potential opportunities involving a partner, building /executing joint GTM initiatives, improve product value through integrations, and distribution through leading cloud marketplaces. This individual will establish relationships and partnerships with leading cloud providers and provide mentorship to a few direct team members. What you'll do

• Lead a team of APJ-based partner managers with responsibilities to build partnerships end to end inclusive of contractual requirements, adding New Relic technology offerings to the marketplace, building /executing go to market efforts, monitoring opportunities and reporting
• Build, strengthen, and maintain relationships at multiple levels across all cloud partners that will drive increased visibility and grow the partnership
• Ensure our partners’ sales, technical, service and management resources are enabled as needed to make the partnership successful
• Drive a joint partner business planning process in which mutual performance objectives, identifying joint customer targets and critical achievements are defined
• Align with the cloud partners and internal alliance team members to identify how to build / launch SaaS offerings for New Relic in these partners
• Work with your team to seek out and document standard processes for co-selling by partner
• Build/Own partner sourced pipeline for all partners
• Maintain high level relationships with all cloud partners, ensuring that our strategic goals are aligned with activities in the field while providing autonomy to your team members
• Ensure training, enablement and educational sessions are held for all partners
• Maintain reports on Partner Opportunities developed, pipeline and deals won

This role requires

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education and extensive proven experience, with strong alliances/ business partnerships/ account management experience in APJ
• Significant experience in both building and leading successful at-scale cloud provider ecosystem partnerships
• Impressive track record in building joint business plans, value propositions, campaigns and GTM strategies as well as successful achievement of both strategic and identifying / driving joint opportunity goals

Bonus points if you have

• Experience within the Observability space in APJ
• Ability to synthesize, communicate, and evangelize a vision with internal and external partners
• Global Delivery Model experience
