We're looking for a senior fullstack engineer to join our growing team as we rapidly scale towards our mission of revolutionizing healthcare. You will focus on our Care Delivery product vertical, building and integrating products that extend across the entire clinician and operational lifecycle at Midi. You will also drive large projects through all developmental stages - early brainstorming and requirements refining, architectural design, execution, testing, rollout and iteration.

What you will do
- Work collaboratively with other engineers, PM’s and clinical stakeholders to enhance existing products and bring new products to life
- Build and own clinician and operations facing products end-to-end
- Craft exceptional, thoughtful, scalable and flexible products and code, balancing for speed of execution and scalability
- Actively contribute to and influence engineering processes, culture, practices, and systems
- Analyze complex technical problems and architect elegant and effective solutions
- Review code and collaborate with teammates on technical decisions
About You
- You have 6+ years of experience building scalable engineering solutions across the stack.
- You have experience with Python-based web frameworks (e.g., Django, FastAPI) or comparable technologies.
- You have experience building operational and workflow management systems.
- You possess a proactive ownership mindset.
- You are a believer in automated testing, continuous integration, and high code quality.
- You have interest and experience in coaching/mentoring junior engineers.
- You take a collaborative approach to building software with both engineering and non-engineering team members.
- You help create a respectful, low-ego team environment, approaching discussions with curiosity and humility.

You'll set the direction for how Midi builds with AI — across clinical workflows, patient experience, and operational intelligence. What You Will Do
- Lead technical strategy for AI/LLM systems across Midi's product surfaces
- Architect retrieval, orchestration, agentic, and evaluation systems that run reliably in production
- Set the standards for AI safety, evaluation, observability, and responsible rollout in a healthcare context
- Partner with clinical, product, and executive leadership to shape the AI roadmap
- Mentor senior and mid-level engineers into strong AI engineers; raise the AI literacy of the whole org
- Lead the frontier: evaluate new models, techniques, and tools, and bring the right ones into the team
About You
- 10+ years of software engineering experience, with deep recent time leading production AI/LLM systems
- Seasoned hands-on coder; still writes production Python regularly
- Seasoned system designer for AI systems at scale — retrieval, agents, evaluation, latency, and cost
- Authority in AI engineering: teams and leaders defer to your judgment, and you can defend it rigorously
- Leader at the AI frontier: you set how the team uses AI tooling and how we build AI products

You'll own the technical direction of Midi's platform — the core services, shared libraries, infrastructure, and developer tooling that every product engineer depends on. - Lead high-impact, cross-cutting initiatives across cloud infrastructure, data infrastructure, and reliability practices (multi-region, cost, observability, security posture, platform ergonomics)

The Difference You Will Make
As Midi scales, the systems and services underneath our product need to scale with us — reliably, securely, and without slowing down the teams building on top. You'll build the core services, shared libraries, infrastructure, and developer tooling that every product engineer at Midi depends on, making it easy for them to ship fast and safely in a regulated environment.
What You Will Do
- Build and own core platform services — authentication, authorization, notifications, jobs/queues, feature flags, and the shared building blocks product teams reuse
- Build developer productivity tooling — local dev environments, test infrastructure, CI/CD, preview environments, internal CLIs, and the paved paths that make the right way the easy way
- Design and operate the cloud infrastructure and deployment platform product teams build on
- Drive improvements in reliability, observability, performance, and cost
- Harden our security and compliance posture in a HIPAA environment (encryption, access controls, audit, incident response)
- Own on-call and incident response practices; turn incidents into durable improvements
- Partner with product engineers to unblock them and shape technical direction across services
- Use AI tools actively across services, infrastructure-as-code, tooling, and day-to-day engineering
About You
- 6+ years of experience building production services and/or infrastructure at scale
- Strong hands-on coding skills (Python, Go, TypeScript, or similar) — you ship real services and tools, not just configuration
- Seasoned at system design: deep understanding of distributed systems, APIs, data modeling, networking, storage, and cloud primitives (AWS/GCP)
- Fluent with modern platform tooling: Terraform/IaC, Kubernetes or equivalent, observability stacks (Datadog, Grafana, OpenTelemetry), CI/CD
- Product mindset toward internal users — you treat product engineers as customers and measure success by how much faster and safer they ship
- Solid command of AI coding tools and comfortable adopting team workflows
- Good mentorship instincts — you bring product engineers along on platform decisions rather than imposing them
- Strong communicator who can explain tradeoffs to non-platform audiences
- Low-ego, curious, humble

- Experience operating HIPAA / HITRUST / SOC 2 environments
- Prior experience building an internal developer platform or shared services team

We are looking for a Staff Fullstack Engineer to serve as a technical pillar within our Engineering Org. As we scale, you will be a hands-on technical driver, distilling complex understanding from across Midi into cohesive technical roadmaps and products that help us revolutionize women's healthcare.
What you will do
- Analyze complex technical problems and lead architectural reviews across multiple teams to prevent technical debt, establish cross-service patterns, and ensure the long-term sustainability of Midi’s healthcare ecosystem.
- Act as a 'part-time product manager for technology,' advocating for critical infrastructure upgrades that enable future business velocity.
- Craft exceptional, thoughtful, scalable and flexible products and code, balancing for speed of execution and scalability
- Actively shape engineering culture by establishing best practices for automated testing, CI/CD, and high-quality code across the entire stack.
- Analyze high-level technical and business problems and architect elegant, flexible solutions that account for long-term scalability and business growth.
- Partner with Executive Leadership, Product, Marketing, and Clinical Stakeholders to identify unmet customer and operational needs, translating business goals into technical strategies that deliver outcomes for our patients and clinicians
- Formally and informally mentor senior and junior engineers, fostering a culture of curiosity, humility, and technical excellence.
About You
- You have 10+ years of experience building and scaling complex engineering solutions, with a proven track record of leading large-scale architectural migrations in a startup environment.
- You possess proven production experience in Django/DRF and React/Next.js or similar technologies.
- You are comfortable operating at a high level of abstraction, translating vague product and growth goals into concrete technical roadmaps.

We are looking for a Staff Fullstack Engineer to serve as a technical pillar within our Engineering Org. - Act as a 'part-time product manager for technology,' advocating for critical infrastructure upgrades that enable future business velocity.
- Craft exceptional, thoughtful, scalable and flexible products and code, balancing for speed of execution and scalability
- Actively shape engineering culture by establishing best practices for automated testing, CI/CD, and high-quality code across the entire stack.
- Analyze high-level technical and business problems and architect elegant, flexible solutions that account for long-term scalability and business growth.
- Partner with Executive Leadership, Product, Marketing, and Clinical Stakeholders to identify unmet customer and operational needs, translating business goals into technical strategies that deliver outcomes for our patients and clinicians

About You
- You have 10+ years of experience building and scaling complex engineering solutions, with a proven track record of leading large-scale architectural migrations in a startup environment.
